I think these boards will know first.

ROFLMAO! I wouldn't trust that. I signed up for info on the Droid X... still waiting.

Yea I guess that's true, but they sure didn't drop the ball with the iPhone emails.
Haha! I've walked away from a D1/T1 geocaching (micro)! I don't like getting stressed out!!!!
As much as I love my Dinc, and I do love Android, you do realize of course you are goign to see more iPhone stuff right? Come on.. Why?
Becuase verizon is goign to sell millions of iPhones
They will sell what a couple 100 thousand Bolts(IMO)
Now you takign pure marketing doallars and where does it make more sense to spend it? Of course the iPhone, for the millions they will sell they can recoup more marketing dollars. Not so for the Bolt.
Now the Android phones will sell more over all than the iPhone on verizon, however when advertising hard to do for just 1 type of phone. I will give verizon credit they did advertise for the Droid X, but they adviertised the "Branding" which allowed them to sell more "Droid" phones.
Anyways you have amonth lead time to know about the iPhone, not goign to happen for most phones, cost too much in advertising dollars.
Well that is my opinion....O![]()
While this may be true for a brand new iPhone, I don't really get it for an 8 month old iPhone. I mean even iPhone users and cell phone users that want to be iPhone users are a lot more saavy than even a year ago. While I'm sure a lot of people are happy that it is now known that Apple will be making iPhones for Verizon as well, Apple and Verizon would have been much better off to just wait to bring the iPhone 5 to Verizon instead of the current iPhone because while they may have done very well with iPhone 4 pre-orders, all of the reports are that the Verizon iPhone 4 is not selling all that well in retail stores (Apple or Verizon).
It's time we really face up to the truth: the Apple brand holds a lot more weight than anything else. Companies like VZW adopted Android b/c they couldn't get the iPhone. It really resurrected Verizon's image in terms of smartphone cutting edge technology (lets face it -- they were last in terms of what people used if they wanted the newest phone tech). However, they always wanted Apple and it's plainly obvious why -- it sells. Android is a great platform and produces a wide range of options but you'll never have a single phone sell like the iPhone. It sucks, but it's reality. Verizon -- like AT&T -- loves to be able to lock people in to long contracts and they successfully did that with current VZW people getting the iPhone 4.
Oh I'm not saying the Apple brand doesn't sell. It's obvious it does. I just feel bad for the people that may not be as saavy and they got the current Verizon iPhone (unless they bought it off contract or have the money to just buy a new phone whenever they want) because for all we know the iPhone 5 may be LTE capable or at the very least use the same EVDO antenna that the Thunderbolt has so people can use voice and data simultaneously.
I know that if people are happy with their iPhone 4 then it should be fine, but I hate to see people being locked into a phone when Verizon is in such a huge transition with LTE. If it was just about the next iPhone or the next smartphone in general, it wouldn't be a big deal to me.
That eBay listing is for a DUMMY phone, not a real working model. The seller mentions that but is probably hoping someone will overlook it and make a bid.
So why hasn't verizon announced something yet.. if htc is shipping this week and its expected next week shouldn't we've heard something by now
I'm having an interesting issue with the VZW site today. My NE2 credit kicked in last night, so before I went to bed I went through the "Upgrade My Phone" process as far as the screen which lets you choose a phone. Unfortunately, the TB wasn't listed there, but the process worked.
I just tried again and as soon as I click the Upgrade Now button on the My Account page I receive the following message:
The following activities are reserved for the Account Owner, the person financially responsible for the account.
I click Continue at the bottom and am returned to the My Account screen. What's odd is that I can view my bill, check my balance, etc. (the error message above indicates that I can't do any of that).
- View / pay bill
- Check balance
- Upgrade phone
- Change calling plan
- Add a line of service
I got a similar error message after clicking the Order iPhone 4 button.
Can anyone else confirm if they are seeing the same issue? I'm hoping that they are updating the phone upgrade system (adding the TB??) and that I wasn't hacked somehow.
