Hey, folks. Haven't heard anything different. But that doesn't mean things might not change.

But to repeat: You know how I feel about these "Somebody told us" rumors. I HATE THEM. And so I wouldn't have passed on the Feb. 24 date if I didn't trust the source completely. That said, things can change. So we'll see.

Thanks for posting your two cents. I trust you WAY more than any other speculative source out there. Appreciate the update.

there is no official info on this so its all just rumor, we know bestbuy plans on selling it for $250 on 2 yr contract and $750 full retail, there was a VZW system screenshot that showed a price of $615 while not official Best buy is known to jack up the full retail price, while its also common that best buy's 2yr contract price is usually cheaper than VZW's but seems unlikely that VZW will charge over $250 on a 2 year contract so who knows.

I want to believe him but a confirmation on the date from his source as the date approaches would be a god send.

Just called my vzw store and was told they are etimating a release next week, so maybe march 3rd? Who knows! I am ready to get my hands on this phone and move frommy AT&T iPhone to a droid. Come on vzw, let's get this worked out!

if you guys have read my previous posts I wrote that I had few guys in various verizon stores that I asked to call me once they got any new information

a guy from the woodbridge, NJ store called me today saying that they just had a corporate rep in their store that dropped off some promotional material and a dummy unit.. the rep then told them the phone will def. not be available for sale in Feb. and to look for it around the second or third week of March.

yikes...no T-bolt for us in Feb! Yuck! Hopefully the guys source is a middle manager....trust me I know...we are the last to know! Ha Ha!

Just got off the phone with the owner of a local VZW store (a "Premium Retailer"). I had been in a few days ago to ask about this phone, and left my phone # and email with him. He called and emailed me to say he'd have them available for sale on 2/28, and that he'd ring me when I could pick one up at the store.

Given all the false starts so far, grain of salt, but something solid nonetheless.

If this were any other, boring old phone release, I'd say take it as gospel. But this is Thunderdrama, where nothing is as it seems.

figured since your posting in these forums you'd know that not every phone with Android is a "Droid"

Yep it's him and as of yesterday he was saying the 24th was still good to go. It's looking more and more like March 3rd will finally be the day with a slim chance maybe the 28th happens.. Needless to say we better get an official release date by the 24th because this is only getting worse and worse for verizon. People are freaking out on them over this nonstop lol. This is bad publicity for them..

He has been giving multiple release dates since November I believe all of which have been wrong. But I have heard he has been rite with alot of other stuff (other release dates and what not) in the past.

Yeah, but alot of people use the names interchangeably. Even though verizon really is trying to put their branding on the droid name. In my opinion it is a bit redundent. But yeah, it is definitely good to know the difference since verizon seems to prioritize their "droid" phones.
