Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

I dont know is Thunderbolt a Droid??? I did not hear it called that did any one??

The TBolt isn't a droid...but that doesn't change needing to make room for a new phone...

I had a nightmare last night. went to go get the tbolt, verizon gave me an old flip phone instead and called it the bolt.

I've had this discussion before about an android phone being a droid..i always thought droid was just a trademark that verizon owns and can call or not call a phone a droid but the fact that its on Android OS is what's significant. I've never had anyone straight up tell me what phones specifically called droid do or don't do vs other android os phones. If it's droid it gets the fancy robotic commericals but isn't that it??

Finally confirmed: Verizon will announce the HTC #Thunderbolt tomorrow at 11 AM ET. The phone has a release date of March 10.

This is now showing up on Twitter. I don't know if he can't be trusted, but I can admit I'll be watching twitter tomorrow at 11am to see if anything is announced.

Droid is the term that Verizon coined for its flagship android phones.

I hope you are correct or im going to BB on the 10th to get my $ back.I sold my in to help pay for this phone a week ago.Has anyone went with out a smartphone for a week. I feel like the world has stopped.LOL

Technical Lucasarts(George Lucas) owns it. Verizon just pays a license agreement to use as a trademark for their product.

I hope that if it does indeed launch next week, we can preorder online. I'm going to be out of the country on business until the 9th and I don't want to miss this phone! It would be awful to have to wait due to backorders after waiting this long for it!

Same here. And old BB Pearl. It couldn't even download App World. The error message I got was along the lines of you're phone is too old. haha

I thought Jerry said that and I thought Jerry wasn't a reputable source...kind of confused now. Cause I thought it was a hoax account and now people are sourcing info from him. Sounds like a rumor about to go sour in 11hrs

Anybody notice the new HTC commercial with the kid who goes to a party and the floor has written on it... Arrive At 8. Anyways I was trying to see if that 8 was a clue so I paused the commercial. If you look at the phone at the end of the commercial, the phones screen says the date March 14th. Just thought I would bring that up...Continue speculating
