Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

im having the same problem, i dont want to leave VZW, and i dont want the iphone, and nothing else really is as good as the thunderbolt as a phone, i dont even really care about this whole 4G LTE network, just release the damn phone w/o it as far as im concerned, i just want the damn phone...lol

Everyone should email VZW and ask why no release date has been released on the TB. I did and they called me twice to talk and email me 3 times to say sorry about my issues. I understand i didnt get much help ,but if everyone does this they will be reporting the # of emails to higher ups. We can not be heard if you dont contact vzw. Their not going to look at all the post listed here on android central.Do you look for problems or turn your head at them? Hell call their asses too , because they log all calls.

On Verizon Wireless Home page there is a Contact Us form where you can contact the CEO of VZW. Of course, he doesn't call you back, someone from their Executive Office does... however, maybe if enough people send in their requests, they'll get the message.

For me; the longer the wait for the TB the more likely another phone will lure me. Seems that Verizon would know this as well. New phones are announced often and I'll be in the same situation I was when the TB was announced; holding off for what seems the next latest and greatest.

We were told to activate Sims for the Thunderbolt demos for launch on 3/17!!!!

I wouldn't even mind if the released the phone without 4g enabled. Turn that off with a software patch and then flip the switch when LTE is ready. I have no problems with being a guinna pig. I have a feeling that this phone will be much more enjoyable to test than my Storm1 is.

Thats great that the Thunderbolds will be released on the 17th, but we all are interested in when the Thunderbolts will be released. Got any info on them?

Well I have officially gave up on the TB. I just ordered a droid X which you may think is outdated. But what phone isn't in 6 months anyway. I really makes me sad, but I can't wait anymore, especially when there is no launch date in sight. I don't get 4g anyway until 2013 so I really have no need. Anyway, I am out guys. I hope you all can have more patience than I did!!

Yea, it sucks and he lays out the problem pretty clearly. It seems like Big Red was so worried that the iPhone would crush their 3g network that they took half of the LTE team off of working on that network to boost up 3g for the apple.

Now they are way behind rolling out all the 4g cities *sigh*

What are you talking about? His recent tweets aren't saying anything different than what he's been saying for the last month.

I'm debating what to do, myself. I am currently running an almost new Palm Pre, and could live with it for a while if I need to. I do miss having working GPS though, and the app selection on WebOS sucks.

If the Bolt isn't out in March I don't know what I'll do. I've been considering the Samsung or the Bionic, but I know HTC and like HTC. Since I'm month to month there is no rush, and it also affords me the opportunity to bolt for another carrier if I want. But I don't want to, to be blunt, unless Verizon forces me to.

BMX has recommended the Samsung if it came down to the Bolt or the Stealth, so I might just wait for the Stealth. I don't care much about updates, so we'll see I guess.
