Unpacked/preorder

I wanted to order the phone today, but with these trade-in values, I'll wait and see if they come back with $800 or $1000 for the S22 Ultra later on.

You are basically signing a 3 year contract. It is split monthly for 36 months, and if you leave Verizon before the 36 months is up, you will owe the balance of the phone price, giving up the remaining credits.
I swore years ago when it was only 24 months that I would never do that again...

It was 24 months a couple years ago, Verizon is greedy

Do you know how the bill credit works? They are offering $800 for my S21 and my balance for the regular S23 is $0? Will that $800 be a one time bill credit so basically I am not paying anything for the new phone?

No. They will give you back that $800 in the form of 36 monthly bill credits. I asked at the Verizon store today. Even though you give them your device that you paid for, they give you back that $800 over a 36-month lease period, which is totally BS.

This might be the year to try out a Pixel. With these trade in values, maybe I'll just pick up a pixel as a second phone and start weening myself off the Samsung ecosystem.

I was really happy with my watch, multiple buds. Tablet and even Galaxy book pro 360 notebook. But Samsung always kept me going with the freebies, credits, and great trades.

I'll miss the s-pen, but I'm sure I could get used to not having it...

Even though I just bought two iphone 14 pro Max's (myself and wife) and two Apple watch 8 Ultras, I was thinking of getting an S23 Ultra as a backup phone. I have an S22 Ultra, a Z Flip 4, an S 22 + and a Watch 5 pro and I figured they would bring an S23 Ultra for nothing or near no added money but all three phones are mint condition and the watch is very good and I'm not giving them away so maybe this will be the first year in many, any years that I don't buy from Samsung.

Those trade in amounts just don't sound like the old Samsung.

Why would you use an S23 Ultra as a backup phone when you have many great phones in the list you could use for backups?

Because I'm a little nuts when it comes to my portable tech. But, you're right I'll end up keeping one of the old Sammy phones as my backup and selling off the rest of the stuff on Swappa.

Paying like $830 for the Ultra even after trading in my Note 20U? I'll pass. See what the future holds.

I thinks Samsung sales are going to drop

Maybe "drop" isn't the right word, it may be more of a crash. Personally, they've lost someone with me that has bought their phones for the last 16 years.

Has anyone received this error during checkout? "Please ensure that you have completed the phone activation in your order." Tried a few different things and same error. Samsung customer service has no idea either.

Wow $300 for my S22 (regular) I'll pass.

I had a feeling this would finally be the case. I knew these great tradie in offers couldn't last forever

Since Samsung didn't really raise the prices on the U.S. release s23 line, I'm guessing they reduced trade-in values to partially compensate.

I'm okay with my s22U & Note 20U.
:)

No promo gifts here but a free upgrade from 256GB -512GB.
I managed £610 trade in but as I bought the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 also there was an offer for more discount, still not what you guys across the pond are used to but we finally get Snapdragon here with an awesome looking 8 Gen 2 chipset amongst other upgrades.

I’ve been waiting to order the s23 ultra but the awful trade ins are keeping me from doing so,
I dont reallly care about the memory increase
I would rather they increase our trade ins
I’m going to pass
