Means at the latest all pre orders should have their Nexus 7 by Friday next week seeing as they promised 2 day shipping.

Which is still mid-July, what they promised all along. But why even bother taking pre-orders when you ship to stores first? <sigh>

I have a feeling that if GS would have started selling it yesterday or the day before it would have lit a fire in googles ass and I'd have my tablet right now. Anyone think that if GS didn't start selling the N7 today that google would have still charged our cards/started shipping today?

I only wish that they would have specified what constitutes "first wave" of shipments. I have heard several different cut-off dates for the first shipment (30th? 4th?). While I dont expect to be on it (I ordered the 6th), I would like to know... I guess I'll just have to wait until I get that charge/tracking number.

Edit: People on XDA are now saying orders before the 1st are on the First wave.

I had to call and listen again. Sounds like all of the 1st wave are shipping today, with all the rest of the pre orders shipping in the next 3 business days (mon - wed next week)

I'm ok with that. I ordered the 6th too.

Until I see a charge and a Tracking number Im not going to expect it for another 2 weeks. Since everyone who pre ordered the 16gb are the ones still not getting any information, and thats what I preordered. Because really it is possible that what happened was ASUS sent all the 16gb out to the stores. So now everyone with a 16gb has to wait till the second wave.

Just wanted to let y'all know my card was charged a little while ago and the nexus 7 is at the top of my play orders page. I'm expecting an email later today just in time for me to get back from my mini vacation this weekend in Jacksonville! I ordered the 8gb on June 27th (10pm) btw. Hope google gets this mess sorted out soon!
