May be the best option to make sure u are on the right baseband. Also its good to know how to do all of this. If it was me I would install stock recovery and stock rom and update fully. Also then u can update ur profile and prl and see how the coverage is.

jondevere - wow so who ever had this phone before screwed it up lol. I hate to ask do you have an easy way to install stock? and will z4root root stock?

Lmao they may not of messed it up but we don't know for sure where he left off or settled for. There are tons of tools. I would recommended oscc by drew. It will download stock recovery and install. Root is easy as well. We need to take it one step at a time

jondevere - so where is this tool? I found other places you have mentioned it but the tool itself I can not find lol

There's that force flash vd, but it uses command prompts.
Totally forgot about that. I would do that actually. Then you dont have to go thru the hassle of flashing recovery back n forth and the rom. I say do what Kraven has said. Sounds like a good idea.

Kp500 tool and I'm not sure if you just substitute the vd cab for the v9 cab in the instructions.. But the thread is the revert one. Sorry I'm not on my pc to help

the phone is asking to install system update
added:
which lables it as LS670CVD
I dont think u can do the OTA on that rom... so I would suggest you use the update tool. You need to reboot tho. Your phone now recognizes that it needs the VD baseband.. thats a good sign

Kraven - yeah I read that and was reading it seems like you break your phone then you fix it... lol

jondevere - Cool Cool, restarted, Logging in now to Pc to try again

uuugh... I dont wanna be the one that bricks ur phone.. but sure lol... I joke. What does everyone else think. If it was me I wouldnt wanna do that til I know it wont brick it.

You need to install the stock recovery before you do the OTA updates. But more than likely that rom will make it fail to update via ota or leave you semi bricked.
