Wasn't that the Bionic that was announced in January? I don't recall the razr getting announced until much much later.

That's the point... the Razr is the Bionic on a diet.

Guess when you have to explain the joke, it kinda loses it.

I feel the same way. The Razr just didn't feel comfortable in my hand. It's almost too thin.

Agreed, it is ludicrously thin at the expense of making the side bezels bigger. That should never happen. Thin is less important than too wide and the razr is definitely too wide for it's screen. Holding both yesterday the REZOUND is far more appealing to me.

I was walking by the Verizon stand in our local Costco this morning. The guy tried to engage me (Verizon customer? Yes. Interested in upgrading? Not until the Nexus comes out). His response surprised me. He said confidently "December 27th".

Possibilities:

A. He is just as clueless as the rest of us.
B. He has some inside information.

It seems later than I would have expected, but who knows what factors might have entered into the equation.

I don't know about the Droid sign up pages, but their other ones are a joke. I don't think I received even one email when I signed up on the Thunderbolt page. Everyone who has signed up for Verizon's "more info" email notifications knows that it's a joke.

For those of us who have been following this release closely and know what's going on this might be a good week to avoid this forum. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to flood this place with their own "why is it delayed theory" and then another group will say "it's not delayed b/c VZW never gave a date."

Then there are the people who want to believe there's a hardware bug.

It's not really worth the energy to educate people for a week. The phone is coming Dec 8th or Dec. 1st if we're lucky. We know the reasons. It's just time to wait.

Their updates are a joke. I did not get any emails about the bionic or thunderbolt until they both were out for awhile.

But December 8th was one of the rumor dates I saw - should I not believe that? I'm close to upgrading my Incredible to the Rezound. Tired of waiting.

Well, I am renting today, no news and no preorders
