Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

i know i havnt posted herre much but i wanted to let everyone know what i found. anyhow i want this phone more than everyone here. i cant remember the last time i was this excited about something. prolly my 08 busa i bought when it came out. anyhow i have and still check every blog everyday hoping for some small grain of info to keep me going. im trying to keep from cracking and buying another phone. my O.D. is dying. i rooted that phone the first week i had it.

i cant wait to get my hands on this phone!

Re: Patience

I second the vote of calmness, but can't say that without saying the phone is ready. We shouldn't be all up in arms with each other, but it is unfortunate that VZW is holding it back to boost sales for the RAZR and Rezound.

Not saying you're wrong, but shouldn't we consider the possibility that the LTE version has similar problems to the GSM version? I mean, I know it doesn't use the 900 MHz band in question, but maybe it happens with other frequencies too.

My thinking as of late is that there just might be a legit hardware problem, and I'd rather have a phone that certainly doesn't have it. Devs can't always fix hardware problems.
So I'll remain patient. I think we'll know for sure that release is imminent when toro hits AOSP.

As a pretty accomplished photoshopper, I can say that those pics are legit. Now, whether this is an old flyer or not is up to you to decide. It does seem very weird that Verizon would call this phone the Nexus Prime when we all know Asus is about to release the Transformer Prime. So.........

BTW, this Verizon Galaxy Nexus debacle is getting iPhone 5 weird.

Does anyone know if P3Droid posts in here? Or was he kicked out? What is his U/N if he does. Thanks.

Not going to say this is fake, but it points to being an old flyer that shouldn't have been released.

Verizon's press statement about the Galaxy Nexus clearly said Galaxy Nexus all over it. Their e-mail sign up says "Galaxy Nexus", in fact the banner that says that is a Google-designed banner. The confirmation e-mail you get says "Thanks for staying up to date with Galaxy Nexus news".

Either this is an old flyer before Best Buy was aware of the official name, or Best Buy is still unaware, or something. But the name isn't changing to Nexus Prime, especially since Asus is releasing a tablet with the same name.

EDIT: And think about it. Why would they change the name? The phone is out in the UK and is getting US press. Everyone in the US has been seeing Galaxy Nexus ads all over the internet. They change the name to Nexus Prime, how does that benefit them? Consumers not in the know will say "Nexus Prime? What's that?" It's not worth pulling a 180 to name it back to the codename.

Yeah, I think it must be an error. I'm not sure how long ago the Galaxy Nexus name was officially chosen, but the production lead time on these Best Buy catalogs might mean that it was laid out back in the summer. It's entirely possible that this thing went to the printer before the name changed.

Sorry guys.

NOT TRYING TO DISAPPOINT THE FORUM HERE. NOT TRYING TO MAKE A RUMORS,

Please, for the love of god, if you are going to post something like this, provide a source. Cite your work. Do it MLA style if you have to, I don't care, but your post holds little value without a source.

You have 5 posts and 1 Liked post. It's difficult to take such a post serious.
