Well it's because they know it happens all the time, any phone manufacturer.Glad they are shipping it out early, but it's clearly so that the 14 day return period will be over just before the new iPhone is released. Good play on Samsung's part but it could mean they are worried that Apples new phone is good enough to make people return the Note 8.
After the first delivery attempt, call FedEx and have them hold it for you at the nearest FedEx store. I'm in the same boat...Knew it was too good to be true. Of course Verizon had to screw me one way or another. They screwed up my shipping address and is sending it to my house and not work and nobody will be home to sign for it.
That's the plan. Just annoying that they screwed up and there's "nothing they can do"After the first delivery attempt, call FedEx and have them hold it for you at the nearest FedEx store. I'm in the same boat...

I'll give that a shot. ThanksI leave a $10 spot on the note on my front door. I just write "please leave package in-between doors, I will return shortly if no answer. Please accept this signature as my acknowledgement of package delivery." I'm assuming it's FedEx, so it should be indirect signature required, which would mean any person at the address or a signed note.
CC charged this morning. No shipping info. order is still processing.

No problem, it's worked in 4 different towns and with preorders back to the note 3. Good luck!!I'll give that a shot. Thanks
Yeah probably not a good idea. If you leave the release and the phone gets stolen, you're screwed for $1,100. Just have it diverted to to the nearest FedEx store and you're good...Just leave a signature release on the door.

Don't be surprised if you wake up to a shipped message. Verizon's systems fall behind during high shipping volumes. My card was charged two days ago and still nothing for me either...still says processing...I thought they didn't charge you until it shipped? I was hoping that was the case and my order status was just delayed on their website but I guess not.
Not sure with Verizon, but on Tmobile their site is often behind real time shipping. Does FedEx have an app where you can track incoming shipments? My ups does (Tmobile )- that should update as any activity occursMy card was charged two days ago and still nothing for me either...still says processing...I thought they didn't charge you until it shipped?
