Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

It's like a drunk decides which distribution center they ship out of.
I'm 1.5 hours from Memphis where others are shipping out from.
But mine is shipping out of Pennsylvania.

How far are you from the FedEx depot nearest you? I don't sweat FedEx any more. If im not home when they arrive I take the door tag and hit up FedEx at about 730 pm before they close at 8 and pick it up. Keep in mind im about 30 minutes from the depot

also no movement on mine last night since being picked up at 854am, since im in Baltimore and mine shipped from pa I would guess most of the movement on mine will occur Monday night Tuesday morning

yea mine spent the day and night in Memphis. I'm in Rhode Island so I guess I would have expected some movement by now. But I'm sure it's fine.... right? Ha

According to Tom Hanks' character, "Chuck Noland", in the film, Cast Away (2000), Memphis is their hub and things can move pretty fast from there. I believe that our phones are being massed for the final logistical push over these next three days.

Starting to look like the holding pattern is beginning. But then again fed ex has all weekend to make Tuesday deliveries. Just because this is holiday weekend doesn't mean packages stop moving, they just don't get delivered on Monday.

Well just got the text from Verizon, order picked up, according to FedEx it was picked up today. Verizon upgraded the shipping speed to priority overnight for Tuesday delivery. Since they upgraded the speed of shipping, I don't think we are going to see the hold for future delivery, why upgrade the shipping if they were doing the future delivery.

Well. I'll believe it when I see it. I've been tracking it and it hasn't moved from Memphis since 1:44 pm when it got there yesterday. Sounds too good to be true. If I see it leave today towards the NE, I might have a little hope.

Yeah when I preordered the note8 I only had one option for shipping and that was 2 day. When I got tracking info from FedEx I saw they did standard overnight for Tuesday. If Monday wasn't holiday we would probably got it then. But hey Tuesday is all good. But I wont 100% believe it til I see it out for delivery or in my hands lol.

Surprisingly I got a email from Verizon about 30 minuets ago...I should get it Tuesday by 8pm according to the FedEx tracking info. I was surprised I got the notification today and will have it Tuesday, but I’m not complaining!!!

I placed my order on 8/26. My Verizon website shows-

"Your order is currently being processed. Please wait until the product is shipped to receive further information".

It doesn't look like I'm going to get it early do to all the mix ups. They did waive the $30 upgrade fee. This phone better be amazing, I already am feeling a bit negative after the ordering fiasco.

Woke up this morning to texts from both FedEx and Verizon. My shiny black Note 8 was shipped out from Memphis and will be in Calif on Tuesday 9/5! Happy Dance!!

I've been thru so many of these preorders, it's not uncommon for them to sit like that and all of a sudden they move. Remember this is a holiday weekend.

Once FedEx actually has the product in their possession, it's in their best interest to get it delivered. They aren't in the storage business, it serves them no purpose to hold shipments at their hub for anything beyond logistical reasons. Pretty sure you folks are going to get yours Tuesday

That's just it, they did store them for the note 7 last year. Amazing what they will do for a big customer of theirs. But since Verizon is upgrading shipping speed to overnight for a lot of us, I don't think that's going to happen this year. You won't see movement from Memphis until it gets put on the plane or truck to leave. Just be patient, I changed my thinking, I think we will see them Tuesday.

Lol oh yeah. It definitely would be. I would be like a kid on Christmas morning finding out they got what they wanted. Haha. I'll be like that whenever it comes haha. On my thing is supposed to come today is my spigen screen protectors.
