Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I tried activating my on line through Verizon after it not activating from phone. Says can't activate till order goes through they did tell me I could use the new Note 8 by using my old SIM card in my S7 edge then change it back after midnight.

After I get it working where and how do I put in my order for the free stuff. By using the phone or do they have a certain place on Samsung's site.

I also had to call Verizon. Signal strength at my house is terrible. Usually 1 bar or less.

Signal's not the problem here; 4G is strong too. I can't define the nature of the glitch or small bump in the road regarding the activation sequence but that's all well in the past. I can recall my early days with the tech circa 2001. Walk thirty feet into a store and the signal vanished. Today there's enough microwave energy in the air to cook a bird in-flight.

I'm in the same boat. Sitting in my living room with the front door open. Looking out the window hoping to see a fed ex truck.

I also am checking my tracing number every 30 minutes. I have this fear that fed-ex is going to try to deliver it to the wrong address.

The way I got it to work was from this link, under question 2, I clicked this link - Activate, Switch or Bring Your Own Device - And it showed that I had a phone waiting for activation.

Thanks but after the 4th time trying myself I turned phone off and went to store came back turn phone on and it was activated lol.

I had trouble. I had to go to my Verizon account on my computer and do the activate new device steps three times. And also restarted my Note each time I tried. On the third attempt it worked.

Thanks basically 4th try of restarting note8 did it for me after I left it alone to go to store lol

Yes. It took me about 8 tries, but all good now

If you haven't already done so, I would contact Verizon, there might be an issue with your order.

I called today. They held it up because they didn't have the correct CC info!? WTH I said you only have one on file, I've used it for years with you. I have you on AUTO payments every month for years! WHT? So she re-ran the same card, with the same info. "oh, I don't see any problem with your card. I don't know what happened" So I told her WTH was gonna happen if I don't have it by the 7th! GRRRRRRRR

Mine was delivered around 3:00 perfect timing as it was the first day of school for my two oldest boys, so I came home early to pick them up. Finally getting time to set it up and join in the excitement!

Got mine today and love it, changing from the iphone 7plus. Screen is amazing, very snappy and the customization's have been missed using the iphone. Now to see how the battery compares after awhile, but I love that is is a little more narrow and do not mind the little bit of extra height and I have small hands. Camera so far has also compared nicely to the iphone which is why I originally got the iphone. I was surprised I ordered this on 9/1 and expected to wait weeks, so early shipping was awesome!

I had trouble activating mine as well, but I called the 800 number on the error screen and was activated within 90 seconds. I recommend that over the website if you're having trouble
