Do I need to update my USB drivers to be recognized on the Verizon Software Upgrade Tool?

It's always a good idea to have the most recent driver. Ver 2.20 is the most recent that I could find on LG's site.

After downloading the driver from the Lg website, how do I get it on my phone?

You need the USB driver for the PC to which you are connecting your phone to help it all be recognized and for auto-run thingies to start up when connected.

My understanding is that with the propwer drivers installed - upon plugging in your phone you should get a pop up asking if you want to run the LG Update wizard thingy.

I noticed after the update the LG g3 is a bit faster but I noticed alittel lag after the update fixed the Google services not working I had to wipe the catch before it could update anyone else having issues

Yeah I gave up on the VZW upgrade assistant, and, for fun, checked my softare update on the phone, and there it was. Installing now...

Mine is working fairly well right now except for the Gmail app. It is taking several minutes to get new push mail from an IMAP account.
It doesn't seem to matter if Wifi or 4G. I went back to Aqua Mail and it's working well and gets the mail at the exact same time as my desktop computer.

Is there Smart Lock on the VZW version? I've been using SkipLock to keep my phone from locking when connected to my home wifi, my Moto360 or in my car connected via Bluetooth. I read SkipLock won't work with Lollipop and to use SmartLock. I can't find that, although it seems SkipLock is working correctly.

So I'm confused on what update I received .... Verizon website stated VS98523B but this is what I received

Other than the stock email issue of not running over WiFi(only over data), I think I like the look and feel of lollipop(23c). I did do a factory reset after update.

I got it last night via upgrade assistant. Soo much quicker and smoother than kk. Zero problems so far. Better battery life also.
