Re: Returning the Note 7 to Verizon

Well... you can't take the back cover off the Note 7 without breaking it ;)

All the reports I've seen say that you should just send the phone back. Make sure you power it off first, obviously, but I don't believe you need to send back any of the accessories. Everything I have seen says that they won't fit in the return packaging.

The instructions in the return box are very clear... It says to put the phone in Small box. Not phone and accessories. Do what the instructions say. Some are making this harder then what it is.

For what it's worth, I even kept the spen. Verizin reps are clueless, the higher ups decided what needs returned, hence why the directions clearly say to put the phone in box. This is not a normal exchange, it's a recall.

Lady from Verizon told me i would just get a return envelope. I'm like well hope it don't explode during transit back to them.
i spent two days on the phone and chat with verizon, plus a visit to a corp store and all of them told me to print the return label and ship the phone back. so i did (usps by the way). sure enough the next day i get the text from verizon about a special box being on it's way.

Lol wow. I will most definitely wait til i get that text then.

Did they credit your account the shipping. They put a $30 credit on my account for shipping, cover shipping, insurance, and signature. I felt it signature required fit the occasion, LOL.

Anyway, next day got the text and the box came a couple days later, so I used the box and got a $30 credit.

I called them yesterday to send the box and they told me to just wait for a text in the next week or so. They also charged the replacement to our corporate account and my original was on my credit card. By default they are going to credit back my credit card when they receive the phone so I need to sort that out because I don't think my company will be very happy.

They instructed me to print the return label from Verizon.com, so i was not out of pocket for any shipping cost. As a side note, i never did receive that "Special" box.

The recalled Note 7 arrived at their Fort Worth TX facility yesterday, so i will see if i get the extra sales tax refunded.

I have been to the Middletown Ohio store 4 times and a different story everytime told me to keep using my note 7 even after I told them Samsung said turn it off, they are liars and cheats they monkey with Bill everytime we go in we have a new charge for a buck or two scammers and cheats in my opinion .they lost my faith when they lied to my face.i called ceo and then customer care got new one ordered and on its way 6 to 10 days but I've already waited 6 weeks for a phone that explodes.so I can't wait to see what this one does.best bet call costumer care .

Got a text from Verizon saying my replacement blue coral note 7 will be shipping soon. Checked my account and saw where they took the taxes out again for it. Said I'll get text when it ships. Hopefully tomorrow. If so then they got it a week earlier than they estimated which was the 12th.

Just noticed my bill went down $36 and some change. Must been where they took off first month payment on recalled note.

Just got my tracking info and verizon shipping my replacement note 7 thru ups. Almost over yay😊

I have a feeling I am getting four replacement Notes versus the two I am supposed to receive. It appears VZ didn't cancel the original order like they stated. Also they are supposed to ship today but it doesn't appear anything is moving. I don't see tracking for FedEx or UPS using the spps

Here we go a "fixed" version note 7 caught fire on a Southwest airline. I like this phone but damn come on.

My thoughts exactly. . . I just got my replacement today and finally have it configured like the original . . . then I see this. Not happy!

Yeah this is getting old. I regret doing a early upgrade on my note 4. I should have just paid it off and kept it as a back up.

So I did the swap 9/21 and I'm out of my 14 day window to return the phone. Does todays explosion give me any recourse to call Verizon and say look, I really don't even want to bother with this anymore. Would they extend my time to return it completely do you think?

Verizon sent me email today saying they received my Note 7 recall device and refunded me $0.00. Gee, thanks Verizon. Had to call and spent a long time on the phone...ends up they had to "fill out a form" in order for me to get my full refund on that device. I am so sick of this...so over it all with this phone and them hoarding my money on having to buy it twice with my credit card.

Is Verizon giving an extended return period for the replacement Note 7's?

I heard that Verizon is giving an extended period to return or exchange your replacement Note 7.

Anyone heard this?

Re: Is Verizon giving an extended return period for the replacement Note 7's?

Last VZW update, the recall return/exchange has been extended indefinitely.

It is my opinion that the shortage of replacements has made it impossible for everyone to swap out their devices within the original short timeframe.
