I do. LOL. Wanted another though. I won't buy an old phone like the s7e without some sort of discount. We only get updates 2 yrs from release date

Re: local Verizon corporate store giving credit for all Note 7 accessories even if purchased months

edit: Verizon corporate store means physical non-mall store
owned and operated by Verizon with Verizon employees.

Re: Verizon exchange replacement

I called Verizon early this morning (in Caifornia) and the guy I got put me on hold twice while he checked and it took nearly an hour on the phone but he preordered the Pixil xl for me, and in ten days (a little nervous about that, with little kids in the house but taking precautions) they are sending a box to return the Note in, as well as the Pixil. I had to pay the taxes and upgrade fee on the new phone but he swore that when they got the Note back, they'd refund that. I have had good luck with the customer service people on the 1-800 line, though most of them seem to have to check with someone before they are sure of the policy. Also, we shall see if the box comes as promised, and if I get the taxes and upgrade fee refunded easily or have to call ten more times to get that done, but I got the paper work and a confirming email so I am going to be optimistic. Never have had any luck at either corporate store around here.

Re: Verizon exchange replacement

If i decided to return my new 7, i want a refund, not exchange for a different phone.. cancel my upgrade agreement and ill use one of my spares.

I hope verizon doesnt do an exchange for diff phone only.

Again, dont know if i will return it.. dont care about 7.0 and this phone is awesome

According to the CPSC, you can get refunds.

So I don't know what to do at this point...
- I love my Note 7
- I want updates to the OS
- I'm not willing to step backwards to get the S7 or to the Applesphere.
- I don't have a backup phone to fallback on to wait for the next flagship.

This sucks.

Re: Verizon exchange replacement

I just got back from a Verizon Corporate store. The reps there were very friendly and helpful. They were willing to let me return my phone for a refund. However, since I traded in my G4 for $300 promotion trade in credit, they would only credit me back the original trade in value of the G4 which was $70. This is kind of unfortunate b/c I wouldn't have traded in my G4 knowing I'd only get $70 for it. If I wanted to keep the full $300 value, I would need to get another Samsung phone. I really like my Note 7 and would prefer to continue using it, but I don't want to risk waking up to a fire. Instead of deciding on another phone, I'm going to leave my Note 7 powered off and will wait and see what happens in the next week or so. I'll use my Nexus 6p for now and try to wait it out a little longer. Maybe Samsung will release a truly fixed Note 7 and call it something like the Note 7+ or Note 7S that we can get.

Question now is, is the Note 7 safe while it's powered off? The Southwest Airline Note 7 was powered off (though I'm guessing it was in the process of powering off) when it caught on fire. Do I risk leaving my Note 7 at home while I'm away at work?

Yeah same with me, I'll have the Note 7 until the Pixel comes. I'm a little nervous about holding onto it for that long but it is what it is. Besides out of a few million notes only a handful have melted so the odds are with me lol.

Re: Verizon Corporate Store Newburgh NY

Hi All, Here's what happened to me today 10/10 at the Verizon Newburgh NY corporate store. After getting a replacement Note 7 at this store on the 9/21 and listening to the TV and web on reports that the replacement Note 7's could also have issues with heat issues and to take your replacement phone back to the place you got it from for a different phone or a refund. So I take my beautiful black Note 7 back to the store and I'm greeted by an employee that takes my name and so I wait for a sales associate to help me.
Finally 30 minutes goes by and I'm approached by sales person who asks me what I wanted to do. She takes my paperwork and goes in the back locked part of the store (reminds me of a speak easy) to ask her boss on how to proceed. While I'm waiting I'm walking around looking at the other phones they had on display.
It all felt very mysterious to me that she didn't know what I was talking about. About 15 minutes later she came out of that back locked part of the store with the store manager. I guess he was on the hot line to Verizon corporate on how to return this phone that everyone was saying to return to the nearest store.
He refused to take the phone back due to Samsung has not issued a official recall on the replacement note 7's YET. So until and if that happens make sure you call your place of purchase before you waste your time getting frustrated and feeling creeped out by all the mystery that surrounds this Jinxed phone. BTW I love the phone "BUT" here's the icing on the cake...If you decide to keep your Note 7 Samsung won't honor their warranty for the phone if they have a 2nd recall. BUMMER

I work for vzw tech support they are already taking them back

This sucks.
This does suck. And now Samsung is telling ALL Note7 owners to power down and exchange or return the devices!

That what I did...since the Note 7 was my only phone, I went to a best buy and got a great temp phone, the Moto g4 Play for $99 and they not only took the phone back for a full refund, they got me a new sim card and activated my Play and got it to work before I left. They rolled back my plan to pre-Note 7 status. They even credit me back the data and made sure my phone worked before I left. A good experience overall.

I feel the same exact way.. We will be hounded over and over if we keep this phone..I will get the 7 edge..A great phone but no pen..I will miss my pen..And I could add a big memory card..Seems like the only way for me to go.

I'm right there with you. I'm holding on to my note 7 this time. I honestly feel like there is no better options at this time. I don't want the S7E, had it as the loaner and hated it.
