Verizon raising the price for Unlimited Data Plan by $20 after November 15, 2015

My UDP is cheaper than any current plans. Why would I save anything?

To the guy getting 100 mbps do you live in a cell tower? I've never gotten faster than 25 mbps in Boston area. 163 mbps? Where do you live?

Yes... my UDP is also cheaper than any plan comparitive to what my data needs are.

The business rep tried to get me to move to 12 or 18GB plan but when I factor in line charges it's more expensive than current UDP.

Getting back to speeds... I've had a trouble ticket in with VZ Tech and repair. Speeds have dropped from 25-28 down to 12-15 and upload speeds are horrible. Pings go from 39-279... all over the place.

Tower is not far and I've known the workings of it since it was put in twelve plus years ago.

Verizon is ALL ABOUT MONEY and they're not offering me a thing worth any value to me to leave UDP.

So... UDP it is w/o any price increase. For now.

Re: Verizon to raise the price of unlimited data by $20 in November

For some reason you cannot direct link to contact page on forum. It gets diverted.

You can find a list of executives here:
www-verizonwireless-com/aboutus/leadership/executive-html

Select an executive, click on "View Profile", at the end of the profile, click the "Contact" link
They can hear you now . . .

FWIW, are there email addressed available for executives. I am going to send an email. Maybe if they receive a ton of emails they may rethink it.
It worked when they were going to charge a service charge if people paid their monthly bill using a CC. Worth a try.

The link just goes to the verizon page.

So I just signed contracts on my 3 unlimited lines via the best buy method hoping to avoid the 20 dollar hike. We will see what happens

Again, I never thought I'd see the day when subscribers would want to be under contract. UDPs have turned everything upside down . . . .

Just for Verizon users -- To avoid the hike. Some won't do it since they don't mind the hike but it is this price hike that is causing them to go into contract.

so you got 3 new phones?
Which phones?
A turbo for my mom and my gfs mom. Couldn't pass them up for a buck. 36.06 each with tax and upgrade fee and my buddy is getting a note 5. I was tempted to get all notes or iPhones to flip but didn't want to go through the hassle. Plus the 2 turbos are a huge upgrade from the dev edition moto x 2013 and droid maxx HD. They were previously using.

Did you do this on separate transactions or all at once? Just wondering if any red flags would pop up down the road. I was looking at the Turbo's for a buck just to have as backups since the wife and I just purchased Motorola Pure's at full price.

Contract is the best place to be if you want to keep what you have now...

^^^ Oh, I agree. The "new reality" of calling plans makes this practical now.

I received a call from Verizon today asking if I wanted to look at a new calling plan. After looking at my calling plan, he says, "Oh, I see you have unlimited data. You'll want to keep that." And that was the end of the call . . .

Re: Verizon to raise the price of unlimited data by $20 in November

Looks like Verizon is pricing themselves out of the game.

Except they have the best coverage in most places and they know it. They picked up something like 1.3M new subscribers this quarter

I couldn't figure out how to do more then 1 in a transaction. But I ordered 2 phones on the same night the note 5 will be ordered next week

Just got my udp extended a year.. just dail *611 and tell them to put you on the promotion of of 100 extra minutes or texts by doing this it will extend your contract by one year.. The customer service representative gave me both promotions but was only able to extend my contact by a year.

Good Luck Everyone!

Hmm.. Usually promotions usually only require contract one year from today, but if you are on contract for 1 year and one day then it won't extend it any

My udp went up to $59.99!

Just bought the S6 Edge from BB haven't open the package yet. That's $120 before tax.

I got the call to but the lady kept saying my bill will go up $40 for my 2 upd lines...I think she offered me the 12 gigs for $80 per month and i can get new phones. lol... it would be exactly the same as what im paying now

Is there still an option for a 2 year plan with a reduced price note 5 if I dump USP? I can't pay $800 for a phone. It's just silly.
