What phone did you come from and why?

Yah, took a bit getting used to that back button but hey, at least we have one (Apple???). I see myself as kind of that Marcie type from Peanuts and I made my best friend start using Peppermint Patty. Seemed like a no brainer. I've just added a Moto 360 watch to the mix and am very pleased with it. That was more of a learning curve because it isn't very intuitive and the manual pretty much sucks but I'm getting used to it all now so I'm quite happy with it and my new G4. Glad I listed to my instincts. :D
lol at Peppermint Patty. I'm running the moto 360 as well, and you're correct: the android smartwatch approach isn't immediately user friendly, and I would only recommend the platform to reasonably tech savvy folk.

Me too. This phone could probably clone my credit cards and steal my identity and I would still be grateful it's not my old G3.

i've had the G4 for a week now, things i miss are the FF speakers and the fact that it had less stuttering ( from the pull-down notification tray to scrolling in Chrome,Facebook,Google + etc.) and a bit better battery, i really wish a G4 with HTC software on it LOL

From note 2. Had an upgrade and this was and is the best phone out there. No lag, unlike the Sammy devices. I love them both but the lag not being here is what made me want the G4.

Just come from a Samsung Note 4 - Main reasons were removable storage and battery along with an excellent camera.

Galaxy S5. Loved that phone to bits but it was getting laggy and no amount of factory resets could save it. Had to upgrade but the S6 was a giant turn off because of the sealed battery and internal only memory. The G4 hooked me with the keeping of those things first and the more research I did the more I fell in love.

Comming from a list of Samsung phones s1, s2, s4 all were good phones but since we cannot add a sd card in the s6, I decided to try the lg phone and the more I was reading about it the more I wanted to have this phone, the camera is really good and the battery is also better then my previous phones

I came from an M8. Still less than 24 hrs on the phone, but amazing so far. Wasn't a big fan of the larger footprint, but I'm getting used to it. Can't believe how light it is (I actually like a bit of weight on a phone), and already in love with the camera. I liked the M8 camera, and this one seems to be like that one only with a higher resolution.

Came from a Samsung S4.

Gotten sick of touchwiz and the phone getting slower with each major firmware update.

Samsung S5 on Verizon. Got it a year ago this past August as my upgrade and after a year of poor battery life and no back up app like LG and numerous problems went and bought a G4. I had LG's before this and was very happy but decided to try the Samsung and regretted it but keep it for a back up since I have no home phone. Mary

Note 3 previous loved the phone hated the camera, love this phone and it's camera!

Had to have removable battery and expandable memory which I found in the g4 and had an amazing camera which won me over and was nice it was free on a 2 year contract...

To me the lg line is far underated for its potential... It's an awesome phone and so smooth! Battery life is above par IMO (battery lasts me about 9 hrs on a full charge to about 5% using Spotify and Google maps almost all day)

Love this phone!

I came from a GS5. The removable battery, SD card slot, $100 on contract price, and confirmed root method won me over from waiting for the Note 5.

Well it's a long story. I had a Galaxy Alpha, but it met an unfortunate fate with a marsh and a bicycle crash. So I was using a Captivate Glide as my phone for 3 months.

I had the Note 3 prior to the G4. My daughter had the G3 and I was impressed with the photos coming from her phone. I figured the improvements on the G4 camera would be even better than the G3 and I have been quite happy with it.

Samsung GS4. Had it for nearly 2 years but for last 6 of those suffered with the 'sim card removed' fault. Had it repaired a few times but kept recurring and cost of claim was silly.
It was my introduction to Android, and I really liked the phone up until the point it became unreliable. I'd be at work, thinking no one had bothered with me, only to find phone had turned itself off.
Then started to suffer with random resets for no apparent reason.
Wasn't taken with Samsung's S6 so started to look around. Saw a lot of positives in the G4 and really pleased I came across.

I came from the LG G2, and while I wasn't planning on moving to the G4, it happened a bit my accident and now that I've used it a few months it'll be my daily driver at least until next year's offerings.

My plan this year was to pass on the G4, and in August, the Note 5, Moto XPE and 2015 Nexus were all in contention. Then my G2 started randomly rebooting which I couldn't solve by normal means so I filed an insurance claim through Asurian. When I spoke to them the only similar replacement devices they had for AT&T was the G Flex 2 and G4, so my choice was easy. If my G4 was in fact factory refurbished I could never tell, as it came like a new phone in a box and was flawless top to bottom.

Anyhoo, that's how I came to be a G4 owner and I've been happy enough to delay buying something else this year (although the Nexus 6P has been really tempting heh).

Note 3. Not missing it.
Very happy with the G4. No regrets after 5 months.
Really want the V10 but I can wait.

Samsung S4 from Verizon. "Upgraded" to avoid the extra charge from the grandfathered unlimited plan.

Plus I dropped it and shattered the screen.

Well, how do you feel about the device? Do you like it? I'd like to know, what with you coming from a GS4 and all.
