Where is the 4.3 Update for the Verizon Galaxy S3?

This might not belong to this thread sorry I'm new to this forum. I have been trying to install a new ROM to my s3 I535 and the results is a looping restart. it just keeps rebooting. If anyone here can help please email or show me the right place where to get help. Thanks.

Today is the day originally published in the leaked Samsung update memo. AT&T was supposed to get it 11/13 per the memo, but got it on 11/20. Even so, I think Samsung and Verizon will do everything they can to get it out today. I'm sure they really, really want it installed before Black Friday (Galaxy Gear!). Next week will have many people on vacation and travelling. Not a good scenario for either the end user side or the support side. So, I think it rolls today!

I'll never buy an accessory for on an OEM that needs an ota update for it to work with their devices. I'm looking into the Sony smart watch though, since it seems more intelligently designed/developed.

The fact that I need an Ota for the gear and the fact that it'll probably only work with Samsung phones makes it not an option - period.

We all sound like a bunch of old HTC Thunderbolt owners. I swore once my contract was up with VZW I was dumping them, but what did I do I went out and got the S3. So here I am with the rest of you wondering when VZW is going to give an update. The only way they will change is if people start dumping them for other carriers.

Yeah but you know if that say it'll be out by Dec 5th and they run into problems...they will have people complaining that it's late

The date of 11/22 was not verified by Verizon and as the list that everyone saw, it said subject to change. At&T and Sprint were both after the date listed

I have only been on Verizon about six months. The issue isn't Verizon, though, it's the platform.

The phone is only getting 4.3 after 4.4 releases. This is like the iPhone 5 getting iOS 7 in 6 months.

Almost if not all Nokia WP8 devices have Amber right now.

I do think the carriers get unfairly targeted.

Stop buying Android phones and maybe the OEM will support the it phones better?

No date was ever even posted from Verizon that an update was coming on a certain date....so how are they late? The leaked documents that said the 22nd even said date subject to change and that wasn't even from vzw

Is your phone currently not working? Not sure why you HAVE to have the latest update by a specific date if you are currently not experiencing any problems that the update is supposed to correct?

Not only known performance issues, but I would like to have Knox. I use my phone for work and would like to separate work and personal information.

I would like to have the update because it has features and performance improvements in it that will make my phone incrementally better than it is now. This idiotic business of taking forever to prepare an update and then roll it out is complete nonsense. You can give me a million reasons why it must be this way and I'll just point to Apple and, now, Motorola and say it doesn't. Competitive advantage to both of those companies. In Moto's case, that's exactly what Google is trying to say.

I may actually consider a Moto phone next time around if the updates are going to be faster with them

And Verizon made it a policy to not announce update dates for this exact reason.

Yes, this is also a big reason why I want it. I can have someone at the facility use my smartphone to record stuff without fear that they will "inadvertently" dip into personal stuff. It's nice being able to keep that stuff partitioned.

Secondly, some of the heavier media apps (Image Manipulation, Video Editing, etc.) will run better on the device which is a big deal for me.

Almost no carrier "announces updates."

They all learned from the issue with the first Galaxy S phones (especially the T-Mobile variant) back in 2010.

They just won't go there, unless the FW has practically already passed testing way ahead of schedule.

Verizon didn't really make that a policy. Generally speaking, they tend to be way behind other carriers, anyways...

They seemed like they were getting it together, so I guess people were starting to have a change of heart/expectations.
