Whitestone Dome Glass $32 (2 pack)

Oh ok thanks. That makes me hopeful that it will come by Friday. Also hope I don't experience the adhesive issue you described. Yikes.

Keep me posted. I just had a Zagg fitted which is ok but have replacement Whitestones coming and on the fence over whether I remove this for them. Be interested to see if it is a common problem.

What's the average time it's been taking for you guys to receive your screen protector? I placed an order on the 17th and have yet to receive any shipping info. There's not even a way for me to check the status on my order. I'm basically just stuck in limbo not knowing anything. Slightly frustrating seeing that I don't like using my phones without a screen protector.
The first order (bought 2/10) it got sent out the next day, got it on the 15th. This second order (bought 2/21) still waiting for it to be sent out.

Whitestone Dome makes terrific products, but their customer service is terrrible. Just FYI.

Very. Come to find out they are oos on the screen protectors. Wish I had none before ordering. They never said anything after taking my money. Bad communication for sure.Screenshot_20220223-213642~2.jpg

Guess mines will be late too.

They still have it able to buy...at least make it OOS or Backorder.

Amazon has it for $40 with a Prime delivery for 2/28-3/3. Might just get it thru them.

Would definitely second their CS...simply terrible. Good products, but they literally ghosted me when I tried to warranty my protector a while ago. Amfilm has a less polished installation jig and overall package, but CS is a breeze to work with.

My install went perfectly buuuuut... I may have to pull it. My fingerprint recognition is there but it takes a lot of effort. Increased the touch sensitivity tried storing them a few times with no improvement. So I know what I'm doing this weekend.

I have the WS Dome protectors waiting for my phone to arrive. I had such issues installing on my S20 Ultra that I may or may not actually attempt the install on the new S22 Ultra. As others mentioned above, there doesn't seem to be enough liquid for the install. I thought the same a couple years ago. It seems like vials of liquid are the same size regardless of the phone, which means there is much less margin for error with the large screens of these Samsung devices.

Something to note with Whitestone's back camera glass protector for thr S22 models. It is one big metal piece that fits on the back of the phone. Fortunately both my Speck and Tech 21 cases have an open cutout that will work with this.

I did see ESR has a much better designed back camera glass protection, which is individual caps that go over the 5 camera protrusions.

I never had a problem with there being too little adhesive in the bottles in my previous installs. When you release the liquid, is it pooling in a circle centered right below the bottle opening? If it's not and off to a side a little, that would typically indicate a non-level surface and there would be less liquid to disperse to the opposite end of the screen. That said, even when it happened to me once, there was still enough for it to expand across the phone, albeit it took a while for it to reach one of the edges. I'll have to be mindful of this if they did give you less adhesive. Bad enough that the glass is not as thick as it used to be (maybe because of the Fingerprint Sensor..).

Same! My first try was a bust. It recognized my primts once out of 5 tries, then I couldn't get past 35% when trying to re-register my prints. I took it off and I'll try again in a day or 2. The FPS is just too good to keep this protector on. If my 2nd try is a bust, I'll have to decide between a different protector, none, or strictly facial recognition.

After a successful install, my fingerprint registration was pretty tough to complete but I was able to get through it. Once I able to get to 100% I adjusted the touch sensitivity. After a day my reader was a little finicky kind of reminded me of the pixel 6 fingerprint but 2 days later I guess it learn my fingerprint and it is now performing flawlessly. I barely touch it and it now unlocks my phone.

Thought I'd just share my experience.

I took them off of mine and my wife's Note 20 Ultras for exactly the same reason. We pre-ordered the phones, so we had them since August 2020 I think. I went naked screen for the rest of the time owning them. I may have micro scratches that you can see when looking closely with the screen off, but it's completely fine when the screen is on.

Added bonus is having no glass screen protector edge near the screen edge. That also drove me nuts. I felt like it made it really difficult to do any swipes near the edge of the screen.

I forget the actual cost of my insurance deductible for screen replacement, but last I checked it was comparable to what spent on the WSD - so I find it worth the "risk" to go with no screen protector.

You need to look at your needs, but the last screen I broke was around 2013 when I left my phone on top of my car, and it fell off on the highway...

On Amazon there is no Prime shipping for the WSD and it has a delivery date of March 4-14 :-\

Would I be better ordering from Whitestone direct?

I still have the WSD on my N20U with no problems, but I remember some users had issues. I'll try again, but I'll go without if it still interferes. Like you mentioned, there's insurance. And the last screen I cracked without a protector had gotten run over by my car!

I think someone mentioned they were backorder also. I ordered mine from them back on the 10th. However u can get it soonest is the way to go imo.

Got mine installed...no issues. I did have the issue in the past where glue didn't spread all the way. In my case was just very edge of corners...To fix I stuck a tooth pick in the other glue container and got a small drop on tip...barely touched corner that had issue and sucked it right in. I would guess the bottle didn't have enough in it.

I believe someone had posted that they are also out of stock and experiencing delay or 1-2 weeks while they replenish their stock, so to be honest, that Amazon date you mention seems to match up with Whitestone on the long end.
