Will T-Mobile Nexus 6 ever get 6.0?

What is it with updates and holiday weekends? Didn't the WiFi Calling update start rolling out on Memorial Day weekend earlier this year?

Coincidence? Or could it be there's more available bandwidth on holiday weekends?

Not that I care. I'm just glad those li'l pink dinks finally called it quits on the testing!

We can also get a look at how well T-Mobile internal communications work now that the update's been okayed. As of 10:40 EDT, the Nexus 6 Software Updates page was still announcing Android version 5.1.1 / LYZ28M as the latest available update (which has actually been wrong for about a week now).

Looks like T-Mobile means business this time around. At least they've changed the message on the update page to announce the release of MRA58X:

I'd call that a good sign. I'll start looking for the OTA in the wee hours of Monday morning. But sooner will be good, too.

Apparently X is good for the 6 as well as the 5X and 6P, considering the line about fingerprint support.

Got a note from Google.
Marshmallow is rolling out for Fi users sans Band 12.
Stated "continuing to work on it and expect it soon".
So guess that was at least part of the problem.
Might flash the beta radio just to see what the deal is.
......in a "few" days.

Question I have a nexus 6 that I used in sorint and it was updated to 6.0 about two wweeks ago build number mra58n. However I switched to T-Mobile two days ago will my phone update to T-Mobiles build or do I have to flash 5.1 then wait?

2 days since t-mobile approved the update and 54 days since Google started rolling out out and I'm still waiting on my update.

I really need that battery boost. My phone only lasts 1:34 on the Antutu battery test with screen brightness on max.

In real world figures that is 7:30 battery life on a one year old nexus 6, one that I'm obligated to keep until 2018.

Say what you will about removable batteries but you just can't beat being able to replace the battery for cheap.

I'm just wondering...

I'm on build LYZ28N and according to
T-Mobile's page, I need to be on LYZ28K to receive this 6.0 OTA. It's this just a "slip up" and that T-Mobile hasn't updated their page yet?.. Has me thinking...

Is there anyone who has received the 6.0 OTA on the LYZ28N build?

Google has yet to post the factory image for MRA58X, so it's most likely not yet available for any build. And given that T-Mobile never even acknowledged the existence of LYZ28N on that updates page, "slip up" is probably a good bet. They don't seem big on accuracy at T-Mobile.

I'm on LYZ28N as well. Haven't heard that I need to be on K to get OTA but it may explain why it's now been 3 days since T-Mobile approved the OTA (55 days since Google started rolling out OTA) yet I have yet to get the update.

From the T mobile site: it's obviously just an oversight by the person who maintains that Web page. On the overview page for the Nexus 6 LYZ28M is clearly shown as the current release level.

A replacement battery for the N6 isn't very expensive - though it takes a bit more nerve and coordination to replace it than simply opening an intended battery door.

As to your 'obligation,' is there actually a service provider doing a 4-year contracted service term? If it's a work-issue phone that only updates that infrequently, they'd still likely see the merit in updating you earlier if your phone's battery deteriorates to the point of limiting its functionality for your work.
