Thought I'd throw this out there. I just installed alpha 4b coming from latest cm7 build. Only wiped caches and flashed debug.zip. and all my data rocks. All my apps work. Didn't toggle $hit. No sign in to deal with

I gave this a try and it flashed perfectly but it ran really slow and market and gmail would not open at all. Maybe I had to many apps.Will try again later.

Well all my google apps work and sync just fine. Market updated to google play store and all that jazz. No problems downloading apps, yet. I failed to mention that I also flashed the Smaller gapps for ics, and upon first boot my device said "Android updating" and it updated like 79 apps of some sort. But it runs smooth so far. And charged just fine with my factory charger. Does anyone know will the ICS camera from the market do anything for us?

By "caches", you mean /cache and Dalvik cache?

Also, the Debug-FormatSYSTEM.zip doesn't work if you upgraded to Drew's CWMT recovery. Uses a different scripting, throws hell of errors when you try to flash it.

yes and no. Only caches which included Dalvik, and I'm still using the ol xionia recovery, tried and true baby!

Nope, the ICS Camera from the market wont work with this either.

The camera thing is driver level. The code simply does not exist in ICS for our devices, as it was never intended to run on this hardware.

yes, _arjen_ and a few others from the xda P500 thread have already written it, and have the camera working on a basic level. it is being debugged and will probably be in lupohirps next build. then thekraven will haveto pull all these fixes into his github, make any changes necessary, resync, rebuild, and test. it appears that TDM is trying to make another build for the OV, but, who knows if it will boot and how long it will take.

Kind of bizzare, my phone quit receiving text messages yesterday night...this morning I ran into a friend and she told me she replied but I never got anything, tried flipping the radio on and off and rebooting etc, no luck...restored a nandroid of CM7 and got like 15 new messages lol!! Not sure what caused that...

currently, Lupo's camera progress is as follows:
Video camera does not work
Picture Camera does work, but preview doesn't (You have the camera app, but the viewfinder is just black). However, you can take pictures with it.

My phone locked up earlier too. I opened up gallery and zoink. Phone freeze. This is gonna kill when it's stable though. ICS looks amazing even on this ol phone!

I could not slide unlock. Have it running now w 67v8, wifi and 3g, woo hop, and some apps. Screen is not as bright as CM7 in sunlight. I'll see how long it will run for daily use.

Post 490 flash it, flash iScream kernel in recovery, reboot. Assume you have alpha 4b and gapps small running first.

So far only issue I've had is having to reboot for wifi but I thought that would be needed. Other than that its working great, well minus the camera
