Well I returned mine today and got my money back.

Just going to hold off and see how things play out after the new batch arrives.

I'm on my old phone now, and already having withdrawals.
Did you return it with the box and everything? Or did you try returning the phone without the box and S pen like a lot of people are saying they will do.

I just returned with everything. Although he didn't even bother to check. Didn't even check the phone for damage, he just gave it a cursory look.

I figured I really don't need to keep the accessories.

I dropped my phone yesterday, just confirmed with T-Mobile that they will accept a broken device.

T-Mobile:We have received your information and will connect you with a T-Mobile Chat Specialist soon.
BenedickB: Hi!
BenedickB: This is Ben, your chat specialist for today!
You: Hello sir... I'm sure you've been bombarded by Note 7 recall questions. I already signed up to be notified when new Note 7 devices arrive at my local retail store so I can do a trade in... my question is, well, yesterday I dropped my phone, from 2.5 feet, and the screen shattered... will they accept a shattered screen?
BenedickB: That is a good question.
BenedickB: Let me check that for you so that I can give you an accurate answer.
You: ok
BenedickB: Thanks for the wait.
BenedickB: Good news! If this is the case, you need to file a claim first with the Assurant.
BenedickB: In order to initiate the claim process, you have the option to visit the www.myPHPinfo.com / mywirelessclaim.com website for a quick one time process or you can call them directly at 1-866-866-6285 for the Assurant Claims Center.
BenedickB: Or you can go to T-mobile store to complete the return fot full reimbursement. And you will not be responsible for the deductible fee.
BenedickB: *for
BenedickB: We will accept it even the there is screen damage on it.
BenedickB: Just let me know if I there are things that I have missed or any other clarification about it.
You: Great, so I can skip the assurant claim and just go straight to the T-Mobile store?
You: and return my phone for a new non-faulty one?
BenedickB: Yes, that is right!
BenedickB: Do you have any additional questions I can answer?
You: nope, everything clear, thank you!
BenedickB: Anything for you!~
BenedickB: I am glad that I was able to help you today.
BenedickB: Hopefully, I was able to give world class customer service and 100% satisfaction to you for today. Again, this is Ben. Have a fantastic day!
The agent has exited the chat. Thank you for chatting with us today.

Free time to enjoy the phone without a case, and then return it for a new one or just return for refund. Thanks Samsung !!!

Are they possibly going to have them later this week like Samsung was hinting?
That would be amazing to see if Samsung can bounce back and reissue the number of phones recalled in a short time. I would think 3-4 weeks is pretty acurate for fixing and distribution.

So I guess the carriers would extend the deadline to swap it? I hope they get the Note on sale fast because with V20 and Iphone7 coming out they stand to lose a lot.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I spoke to a T-Mobile rep and this is what they said:

"We have extended the Buyer's Remorse period for the Note 7 until the end of September! We will get a replacement to you. An accurate expectation would be 2-4 weeks for an exchange for the Note 7. *RavenP"

As usual they didn't give me an accurate response to what would happen if it exceeded 4 weeks or September 30th. I'm assuming they're expecting to replace them by then.

Well if it gets closer to the last week of sept and still no new units I guess I will have to return mine for a refund and I'll probably buy the V20 since it will be out or consider Iphone 7plus because the screen on my s7 is just too damn small. It's driving me crazy to even type a text message.

Yikes just got my Note 7 in the mail...guess I won't spend too much time customizing it but I have no other phone. I pretty much have to wait until T-Mobile gets a new batch before I exchange this one.

You think an S7 is small? Try an S5 which I'm using until I can replace my Note 7. Lol.

You're just all over the place, aren't you? Lol
Hard to believe this was the same person stressing out about canceling their pre-order when the tracking information wasn't received before 8/15.
I guess the honeymoon period has worn off?

For everyone on JOD returning their phones, did you keep your previous phones or get something else in the meantime?

I'm on JOD, already returned my V10 so I'll be using the N7 until I get the new N7.

I'm doing homework and then working out and will look at the launch videos and specs later, but 3200mAh battery for a phone with a large screen? WTF. However removable battery is the only advantage then. Unless this phone is under 600 bucks, it's probably not worth it and I will want for my exchange. Only other phone to wait for is what the Iphone offers but it will likely be bland and behind the times too as usual.

I think our best bet is to wait for our Note 7 replacements. We were happy with them until the recall. We will be happy again.

The Note 7 is still the flagship phone.
Unless you want to wait a year for the new big releases then well see.
I'm really enjoying this phone my only gripe is its a bit heavy.
Great upgrade from my note 4 will never go back to apple like to customize my phone to much.
