Anyone going to upgrade from the S20 Ultra to the Note Ultra?

I can't see anyone dropping a ton of money on the Note 20 Ultra, only to gimp performance so it can match the battery performance of the S20 Ultra. Why buy it at all then? If the screen is as efficient as they are claiming it should be good to go. It only a 10 percent drop in capacity anyway. If you can't get through the day with 4500mAh, you won't with 5000mAh either.

LTPO should help with battery life though so 4500 should be enough

It will happen in just a few weeks. Believe it are not there are a lot of people outside of this forum that are interested in it's release.
I'm not saying it won't sell. My point is why buy it if you're going to disable features.

Guess I should've read the whole message. Glanced over the part after I can't see a ton of people dropping money on the note 20 U lol. My apologies.

Guess I could eBay the 512GB S20 Ultra and just eat the difference and go for the 512GB Note 20 Ultra.
I'm still on the fence though.

My guess is the trade in price will be close enough that it won't be worth ebay. I'm planning on samsung offering 700 for the Ultra. Even if you get 850 on ebay, after fees and shipping it'll be a wash. I really hope samsung offers a bump on the ultra trade in. 800 would be nice.

Hey no problem....i was actually addressing someone's post who recommended doing that for battery concerns. I think the battery will be adequate.

It's true that eBay fees are a b****. They eat up 10% of the final sale price, and then there's also PayPal's 2.9% and finally the shipping.

It doesn't make sense to sell a popular phone there, I'd use Swappa or OfferUp locally instead.

Leave eBay for the rare devices that have less potential buyers in the first place, therefore since eBay widens the net due to the higher traffic, it greatly increases the chances of finding a buyer.

Last iPhone I sold on eBay cost me $120.00 in fees and about another $40. for PayPal fees. :'(

Have the note 10 plus. Will definitely upgrade... was gonna go for the note 20 though
The basic Note 20 would be a downgrade. 1080p screen, no high refresh rate, rumoured plastic back, no micro sd. It is basically £1000 for a £600 note lite.

I dont think its going to be. Not this year. They'll improve the camera and then spen which I don't use. The quad HD plus 120 doesn't interest me unless they can fix the battery drain while using 120. If they give me 800 in trade I might go for it but I'm not expecting them to. That said they are gonna have to offer some pretty big incentives to move a 1400 phone in this economic environment.

Now if its including the new in-selfie cam technologies then i would upgrade ii n a heartbeat BUT sofar my needs are already met with the S20 ULTRA.

For some, the 1080p only res wouldn't be a downgrade because it would be more battery efficient, and if the "basic" Note is smaller, then on such a size screen 1080p wouldn't look bad, I mean Samsung makes the best displays anyways.

As for the plastic back, for me that's a major UPgrade from glass.

Less weight, more durability, and wireless charging still there!

It's still a downgrade in screen resolution no matter how you slice it. The fact that it might use less battery is a separate issue and might be preferable for some. Same with the plastic back...its a downgrade in material, however, plastic does have a higher durability factor if dropped.

It's highly subjective. A blind test where the subject would not be told what they are looking at is needed. With technological improvements we are told what is better then the subjective back and forth, as shown here on this site, begins anew.
