BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I knew it would be an exercise in futility and I as right. Went into Best Buy and talked to the wireless rep. Explained how people with Verizon who ordered online had their phone in hand or were getting shipping notifications and I asked what the hold up was for those preorders for in-store pick up. The rep said there is no way anyone has got the phone yet and the only person he knows who has the phone is a district manager with tmobile. He said unequivocally that all people have to wait until the 15th and that the phone that people must be getting is an S8. Definitely the attitude of "the customer is a lying ***** and I am right." Anyways, I sent an email to corporate, don't expect any response and now expect to be last in line for the Samsung freebies and watching everyone elses unboxing videos.
 
I have VZW and pre-ordered in store for in store pick up. I just got off of the phone with my BB store and they said in-store pick up will not be available early at all strictly on the 15th. I then called local VZW store to see if I could pre-order with them and get it earlier. They said anything orders on or before the 4th were shipped out yesterday. Anything after the 4th will not be delivered or available in store until the 15th. So anyone on VZW who pre-ordered for in store pick up that did not change their order to VZW before the 4th is out of luck and will have to wait until the 15th regardless.

Did you show him the thread here with pictures of obvious Note 8 boxes?
 
That is funny. The BB rep I talked to admitted that all online orders were definitely going to be delivered early but not in store pick ups.

That's not true. BB screwed up my order. I called verizon at 10pm last night and placed a new order. 1.5 hours later tracking number was in hand and it is out for delivery today. You can literally go online right now to VZW website and the phone isn't even listed as a preorder anymore
 
You are correct. I went on VZW today to order and its not a pre-order and it let me choose over night shipping for tomorrow delivery.
 
So, I pre-ordered thru Best Buy as a Sprint user on Aug 24th at Midnight, and ever since my status has said "In Progress" and my payment method is still saying "Awaiting Authorization" Are there any Sprint BB pre-orders out there that have seen any movement? I have been getting rather discouraged after seeing all the Verizon, AT&T, and even T Mobile pre-orders already shipped and received. This is my first time to do this and probably the last. Been wanting to update my Note 4, which is a great phone, but getting old and slow.

on sprint ordered on 8/30. My order finally went from processing to preparing this morning. No charge on card or tracking number yet though.
