BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I got a tracking number through the automated line on Best Buy but every time I try to look it up it says no information available at this time. My order on bestbuy still says processing. Any help would be much appreciated thanks
 
Never again will I buy from best buy, I got a message to call them. They had trouble activating my phone so I called gave them all the info they needed, they called their att hot line and then told me it won't activate sorry we are cancelling your order.
Sorry to hear but why are they activating your phone?
 
Got my att note 8 today from best buy. no instructions or shipping labels were sent with the phone to send my s7 back. does anyone know what I'm supposed to do
 
Has anyone been successful with a Verizon trade-in after receiving the phone from BB? I am very skeptical that Verizon will allow the additional statement credit for the trade-in, and I would rather wait t hear of a success before signing up for $32.75 per month for the next 24 months.
It will take 2 to 3 months to find this out. Phones have to be sent to Verizon and they take awhile.
 
When you go to best buy for pickup is it an option for you to just pick up and leave with the phone or do they require that you activate on the spot, deactivate current phone, and input all of your Google info and Verizon account information there? I just don't want some prolonged process with a complete unboxing with their fingerprints all over the phone. Will only further aggravate me than I already am. I say this because on the pre order sheet they are requiring that I have on hand my Google account password, cloud backup passwords, Verizon account information (which they should have), etc. More reason I wonder about my initial decision for pickup, on top of waiting another week...

I was told by a verizon employee that BB should provide a shipping label/ envelope to send the phone back, that is what they did when my wife traded her s7 for the s8+. I assume you can go into the store and they should have one to give you if not i was told that you can walk into a verizon store and they will take the phone you are trading in. you should just go to the vz store and ask to see what your options are.

Your phone your choice ,don't let them tell you other wise, this was a big topic with the N7

I got my N7 at BB. Bought it outright on AT&T, and walked out of the store with it.

At my store, you just pick up the phone and leave.

If you ordered online, you should receive a shipping label within today or tomorrow. Check your spam folder as well.

I know mine always went into my “Promotions” folder.

cancel and order through your carrier or someone who is shipping out now! you'll still get the Samsung promos
 
Yeah. Best buy screwed up my order as it was stuck in preparing and they said the only way to fix it was to cancel it and reorder it. I said just cancel and called Verizon. No regrets. It's an awesome device
so you don't regret not getting the $150?? lol, wonderful! hopefully I don't.
