Re: Do you get good Service ?

I actually was with AT&T when they were known to be pretty poor but yet never had issues with them .

And there's your proof that people can get unlucky with CS. Apple has the best CS year after year but you can still find people with bad experiences with them.

Re: Do you get good Service ?

Customer service isn't location specific .....I got people from Florida so called helping me ....their customer crap service was terrible in 2010 and terrible still as well . They need to get fire EVERYBODY and hire some new people. There is a reason why they are 4th place and will always stay there :)

I am just saying by experience. You said you knew AT&T has a rep for being bad and you didn't get that service -- same for me with T-Mobile. To be honest though I have heard horror stories like yours from every carrier.

My experience has been pleasant. I have had charges reversed that shouldn't have been there, had phones shipped overnight for free, and swapped plans all without any hassle. When I tried Verizon and came back they even merged my account w/ my gf's account so we could be on one bill. Took them about 20 minutes in store and we were back to normal.

Yes ivd gone through 30 some off reps who kept lying and doing nothing about it . Paid 2 months bills and I never even used the service . I am still waiting for the $60 dollar credits to come back to me which who knows how long I'll have to fight them for that . It's February and my relationship still isn't over with t-mobile lol.

30 different reps who were very nice and polite btw either lied to my face, conflicting information between them or couldn't help at all . This isn't s company anybody should have to deal with and between sprint and t-mobile sprint is cheaper by quite a lot

Re: Do you get good Service ?

To be honest though I could see myself on Verizon or even AT&T but that will be the day that my work bans phones or actually gets some good wifi. I mean technically we have wifi here but .. it is like .. 1 Mbps if that? It buffers music :(.

I am trying to get my parents to leave Sprint and go to Verizon. It is hard to get them to do it but .. I think one year I will be able to pull it off. They use around 300 MB or less a month (combined) so .. Data wouldn't be an issue. If I had wifi and jumped on a plan with them it could be about $60-70 for each line if we just split it 4 ways (mom, dad, gf, and myself) and that is after taxes. For now though .. I use too much data :P.

That may be true but you have never used Sprint service -- or so you have said -- so you can comment they're cheap but .. You have no idea how bad their service can be. Not all places are bad but .. when it is .. you don't care how cheap it is .. trust me lol. I wouldn't even Google search things at times when on 3G because it would time out :(.

Also I agree -- So I don't blame you for leaving. It is great we have choices in wireless and CAN leave. Some get treated how you were -- by Comcast and others -- and simply have NO other option. That is the worst.

I'll take cheap over t-mobile . T-mobile is a company hiding behind change when it really isn't changing much . No contracts ? Finance charges are essence contracts and the full payment required upon leaving is an ETF. Sprint can't be that bad in NYC and for $87 for a phone + true Unlimited data beats $100+ for t-mobile of you include sprint easy pay and financed phone from t-mobile . My friend tried sprint and he said he got around 10mbps and service was ok .

That is great that you will take cheap over it. I simply will not. I used to get 0.3 Mbps on average down .. LTE areas 5 Mbps maybe? To me the price is a wash when it comes to the speeds in my area. I only have to pay $50 and get fully unlimited data with insane speeds :). Again though .. area dependent.. Maybe one day you can try Sprint out for your area and let us know if it is bad.

Re: Do you get good Service ?

Oh also Verizon does phone payments .. and Sprint .. and AT&T. So I am not sure why you're bashing T-Mobile for payments when everyone does them?

Yeah but t-mobile is hiding behind it calling themselves no contracts when in essence they still have them ....just worded different and are finance charges

Considering my friend got 10 mbps with LTE in NYC I'll assume il get 5-10 Mbps which is serviceable .

Re: Do you get good Service ?

The signal quality you're going to get is totally dependent on your location. To ask a question like this and expect relevant answers from people all over the country is pointless. You need to investigate the signal where you are. I've tried all four major players in the NYC market. When I was with ATT and Verizon, I had zero signal in my ground floor apartment. At work on Wall St, I had one bar with ATT and noticed that the guy at the next desk had five full bars with his T-Mobile phone. I walked down the street and switched right then and there. I still have no signal at home, but with wifi calling T-Mobile has made that a non issue.

Wifi calling sucks ....I've used it and every time I did people on the other side of the conversation say I sound like I'm underwater and this is even using other wifi networks . I also wouldn't count of wifi calling.

Any reason to switch to AT&T

I posted a similar topic in the AT&T thread asking for opinions on which network is better.

Here are some of the questions that I have. How is the service compared to the service of Verizon. I'm talking about voice and data. Are there any specific reasons why I should switch or not switch. The reason I checked it out in the first place was because of the $100 credit for each line of which I have to. I have also heard that the sound quality is better on AT&T as it is GSM network. Is AT&T a honest company. I am asking this because I have heard that they tried to buy out T Mobile and weird as it may sound I do not want to support a company who is trying to make a monopoly. I happen to like T Mobile a great deal and actually may switch to them one day to support them.

Thanks all

Re: Any reason to switch to AT&T

I know earlier I posted a thread talking about who is better out of AT&T or Verizon Wireless. I thought I would post this one as well as it is more detailed as far as what I am looking for. I hope this is not considered disruptive posting. I am actually looking for help in determining which one is a better deal.

The first time I used it I got the same feedback from the person on the other end of the call. It has not been an issue since. I've been using wifi calling a lot and haven't had a single problem. I was going to get a land line as insurance, but I don't feel I need to now. Maybe it depends on the router.

Lol it's wasn't just my router ...it just sucked on any wifi ....I also don't think we should be rely on wifi calling to get service ....t-mobile, sprint or whoever needs to get a better service

I don't need wifi calling in my house. I used to rely on it but now I can get calls without but since it works .. Figure why not ? Also Verizon and AT&T are coming out with it sometime this year or next I believe.
