Re: Do you get good Service ?

If you won't use it .. well .. that is your option to :). I think others will when needed. Verizon definitely has good quality but I know some people have issues in a few spots or in basements and other areas where it could be useful.

Edit - oops I #derped and miss read ... Time for coffee lol.

Carriers like t-mobile need to get a better network out then hope people have broadband at home and using wifi as a temporary fix .

Re: Do you get good Service ?

Well I can't replicate it considering I don't have t-mobile any more but the servers is comparable from the speed tests I've done in the past

So different servers, different times of day, and months apart. Doesn't seem like a fair comparison

Yeah but that's the service I've gotten for t-mobile on a consistent basis in that area for months and would assume the same goes 4 months later? T-mobile doesn't have 700mhz network up yet nor does the iPad Air 2 have the right antenna to use band 12 yet anyways .

I can agree with this somewhat -- However I use WiFi calling by choice. I can use HSPA and get calls but .. Why not use the internet I already pay for? That is why I use it :).

Yeah but with the rising cost of broadband why not just cut it out and use your cellphone specially if your on Verizon old unlimited data plans .

Not everybody has wifi

Oh I agree not everyone has it but I am talking about my needs ;). I don't want to do the hotspot thing because I like my landline. It is very constant.. No matter what time of day I can get the same ping, same download, and same upload. So that is why I keep it. I have no issues paying for my internet service at home.

Re: Do you get good Service ?

Oh also I'd never do the hotspot thing anyway because it would be against TOS. Verizon is an exception since it wouldn't be .. Because they allow unlimited to have fully unlimited hotspot.

Because for most people broadband is still a necessity. Very few people have unlimited plans with unlimited hot spot to get Internet on their other devices.

Until recently you could of bought unlimited data plans on Verizon through other means and doing that would of been way cheaper then cable , FIOS or etc

Could have but .. Can't now so no more worrying on it. I am sure we all could talk about what we could have done on many topics.

Getting back to the topic at hand. For my area T-Mobile is good .. For you OP it really depends where you're at. If you don't use much data though and are happy with Verizon I'd just stay with them. No reason to fix something that isn't broken :).

Re: Do you get good Service ?

Took them this morning yes. I don't often do speed tests, but they are commonly in that range.

From an AOSP M8
This is what I get during peak hours. uploadfromtaptalk1424466467573.png

Thus is what I get the rest of the time odds are. Chicago Illinois. uploadfromtaptalk1424466517023.png

Re: anyone test driving

Well, I took my Test Drive iPhone back last night. Just didn't want to risk another day of it perhaps dropping out of my hand and then having to buy it.
Funny thing at the store. I asked why they don't give us a choice between an Android and an iPhone for the Test Drive? The guy there said because iPhones don't have very good reception.
This way if you get good service with the iPhone, they know you'll be happy with their service on any other phone.

Lol wtf? iPhones have the best antennas imo. I've used LG ( nexus 5) , Motorola ( droid turbo) , Samsung ( s2 skyrocket , s3,s4, note 3 and note 4) , and Apple devices ( iPhone 3GS , iPhone 4 and iPad Air 2 cellular ). Out of all of them I think the apple devices had the best network connection imo

Re: anyone test driving

I agree with you that would be very frustrating especially if you do not have any Wi-Fi at the house. I have 3G with Verizon and it is slow on the rare occasion that I need to use it.u I am happy with Verizon but I'm thinking of trying others to support smaller companies such as T-Mobile. The only thing is I am on my mom's plan and paying for just my line after the contract is up on my line my bill will be $25 per month. Who knows though I may switch especially if I start using more data when I start traveling more for my work when I move in three years. I am going to test drive it either way and see what it is all about.

T-mobile isn't small and isn't he small company in town either ....another huge company ....just the smallest of the 4
