Re: Do you get good Service ?

I get 2x the speed with Verizon and x6 times in my home since I get 0 with t-mobile . For $20 more a month I get a superior service with Verizon . I also don't have to deal with the atrocity called t-mobile customer service. They say they took away contracts but financing charges are essentially contracts and act as an ETF. I don't particularly like their business practice of clouding all this with their "changes"

Sprint service might not be the greatest but $87 not including taxes for unlimited data and a nexus 6 on easy pay is a great deal unlike t-mobile which would cost for true unlimited data and a nexus 6 would cost $107 before taxes .

Phone companies have always billed for the phone and plan all in one price via a 2 year contract. Wanted to BYOD? You had the same price. When your 2 years were up and you were eligible for a new phone but didn't upgrade you paid the same rate. Now if I look at most of my family and friends most rarely upgrade on time if at all. For people who upgrade constantly, there is no real change. But for most people there has been a big change in how things are done and money is being saved all over. Not to mention even if you upgrade the monthly bill depends on which phone you get, versus getting charged a premium device fee when you picked a low end phone.

You get discounts on Verizon and AT&T as well as long as your on those sharing plans ....$25 or $15 for phone access depending on plan and if you have no contract any more or are using edge or AT&T next

T-mobile true unlimited data is $80 meanwhile I assume once your off easy pay on sprint the plan would cost $60 a month vs $87

Yeah... but you are forgetting most of what you just said were DIRECT actions to compete against T-mobile's contractless/uncarrier moves.
May I ask how long have you had smartphone access?

Still T-mobile is crap and I will always believe that and no amount of savings will I ever go back to them. And does it matter ? You save money at Verizon or AT&T .

How long of what ? I started with Verizon in November and still paying off that phone .

Hmm I did the math on AT&T Next. I would pay far more for less.

$80 for 3 or 4gb of data on AT&T Mobile share plan.
$80 for unlimited data on T-mobile.
$60 for Sprint unlimited. I am going to try their service soonish.
$90 for Verizon's cheapest plan.

$90 isn't the cheapest for Verizon ...you can get a single line plan for $45 on edge or $60 for a 2 year contract. Similar goes with AT&T. You only get 1gb of data though

I'd recommend you do your research next time before spamming. What you just quoted is wrong, or incomplete.
1. $45 Edge? No idea what you are talking about, Edge is what Verizon calls their financing plans. I think you are talking about the Prepaid options? That's apples to oranges lets keep it post paid otherwise I'd bring up T-mobile's MetroPCS prepaid plans. Even then it is limited to 1gb of data, they make their money by billing you per additional 1gb or .5gb's.

The $60 with 2 year contract is BS can't find it at all. Can you link please because that's interesting.
The cheapest plan for me with Verizon was $90 BYOD (3gb of data). Otherwise it's something like $80+Device for a total of about $110.

Quit calling people out with your wrong info

Also on the more everything plans there is a 500 Mbps plan for $20 and with smartphone access it's $60 on edge it's $45

I'd recommend you do your research next time before you call people out

Also here's one with more reasonable data which is $55 total on edge or if you bring your own phone like the iPhone 6 or nexus 6

You'll have to call Verizon to get the discount though

Top part single line plans I don't think is BYOD friendly but $60 with a 2 year contract is fairly good price for yourself if you don't use a lot of data. The bottom more everything is for that I believe

Do you get good Service ?

Also get discount if you bring your own device is $15 or $25 off and if you get the 1gb or 300mb plan it's $15 off the plan phone access.

So see you can get plans cheaper then $90 on Verizon or AT&T

$45 total on the 300mb plan or $50 on the 1gb plan

You are comparing a $80 unlimited plan that allows for BYOD to a $45 Verizon 500mb plan WHICH requires device purchase via Edge, and a $65 ATT Mobile share 1gb plan.

Again, and for the last time do your research next you post. It's one thing to have an opinion, and another to abuse social sites to spew misinformation.
Not responding to you again, it's not productive.

Once again your saying you can't get plans cheaper then $90 on Verizon . I'm proving you can and data buckets and unlimited are Apple and oranges and not everybody needs unlimited.

It actually doesn't require Edge purchase to get the discount you just need to call Verizon or AT&T case I believe they will give you the discount if you bring your own device

Re: Do you get good Service ?

I am a long time Verizon user. Had the same phone number since 1991. Went thru so many buyouts and mergers over the years, not sure how long Verizon's name has been on top of the bill.

I have been looking hard at T-Mobile. I currently pay for 8 gigs of data, 2 lines, both still on contract, $205 before tax. I think I am getting some kind of promo that gave me an extra 2 gigs.for a while. My average data use of the last 12 months is around 4-5 gigs, with one month a 7.5 gig peak, which is why I upgraded to 8 gigs.

T-Mobile would give me unlimited data with 5g for hotspot, unlimited International calling on both lines, ( we call Korea, Indonesia, and I work for a French based company, all 3 are on the 30 country list) plus 2 new high end phones, for 195 plus tax.

When I went to church today, I spoke to a couple that owns 2 MetroPCS stores. They warned me about Tmoble's lack of lower frequency causing bad signals in buildings, between buildings, etc. They both use Verizon, lol.

I actually have a $50 a month no contract line with TMobile for testing a Windows phone. I have noticed some signal issues at times, but I was blaming it mostly on the phone, a Nokia 925. Now, I am not so sure. I assumed living in the Seattle area, TMobile would be rock solid, being their home turf.

Am I going to sorry I switched?

BTW, on another note. Is there a way to block a user so I don't see his/her posts? One user in this thread is a complete waste of bandwidth and regardless of their post count, I would rather not have to wade thru the negative drivel.

Lol waste if bandwidth ok whatever you say .... And just a fyi just go do a test drive ...cost you nothing to do so and gives you an iPhone 5s. And fyi the Nokia 925 has LTE with T-Mobile so your not going to find a major difference .... You'll need the Samsung Galaxy note 4 or nexus 6 and I assume the M9 or S6 which would have band 12 700mhz network

Thank you for a useful and informative reply. The 2 phones I would get are the Note 4, to upgrade my wife's Note 3, and now after reading the release info today, the S6 for me, to upgrade my S5. It is encouraging that that they should both have 700 mhtz coverage.
I will wait on the final specs for TMobile's version of the S6.

Thanks again

Re: Do you get good Service ?

I stopped by Walmart a couple of days ago and picked up a cheap android phone with a $40 prepaid plan to test for one month. So far so good, I live a little bit in the country and get between 3 and full service at my house as with Verizon. Actually the tmobile phone is slightly better in some spots of the house is full service with t-mobile which is the same if not better than my Verizon phone which gets around 3 or 4 bars of signal. It has worked everywhere for me but going to keep testing and we might give it a try. I love the experience so far.

Re: Do you get good Service ?

That really shocked me to see that in a few places that I have been the tmobile phone gets better signal than my verizon phone. We will see what happens when I take it to my college which is a big building.

There's some map here I think showing you where they have it and if you don't live there then your pretty much out of luck . They have it in a total of a dozen cities maybe 2 dozen ? And only a quarter are up.

Re: Do you get good Service ?

All that I know is that it is working fine for me so far. I am not sure how the different bands work or anything like that.also I won't you to know this is in a small town.
