I pay for 4GB of data each month and typically use 1-2GB.

If you don't mind me asking why do you pay for 4 gigabytes when you only use at most 2 gigabytes. You may want to consider going down to the 2 Gigabyte plan to save some money. Even though I think there is a promo we're paying for two gigabytes you to 4 gigabytes for the same price. That's what we worked on until I changed it because we were using maybe one gigabyte.

I've got two phones on an old Nationwide plan that is 700 shared minutes of talk, unlimited texts, and unlimited data for both. Total cost is $138.52 per month after my 18% employer discount. We average about 10 GBs a month combined when work doesn't require us to travel. When we do travel for work, data usage will usually jump to around 25 GBs a month because of hotspot usage (which I legally pay for that month).

Verizon is going to have to kick me off unlimited before I willing give it up unless the offer something like a "triple data deal" since I've got such a good price. I'm also thinking about porting to Google Voice and keeping my unlimited data. This would allow me to drop each line to $45 for 30 minutes of call, pay by the text, and unlimited data. In this case, I would use Google Voice for VOIP and unlimited text while using Verizon only for data. This would bring my monthly bill down to $90 for two lines before my employer discount.

You are smart to keep unlimited data. If I had it they would have to kill me to take it away. That was good on Verizon back then. Wish it was the same now

This also happened to me a bit with boost mobile when I was testing their service. The signal would go down when I interd buildings. It was still great service for $35 per month but could not switch because I am in a contract and will be paying less than that once the contract is up for my line. I think it is weird how that happens.

The most I used on my account in one month was 5 terabytes. I have 2 unlimited lines and combined, usually use 400-500gb a month. Keep in mind that I use Verizon wireless as my home Internet as well as use a lot of tetheirng. I pay $30 per line for unlimited data. An additional $30 if you opt for unlimited hotspot.

700 minutes Account access charge $50
$50 (5x$10 line access charge)
$30 per line unlimited data
$30 per line unlimited hotspot
$3-4 per line taxes and fees

I've been off contract (month to month) since 2011 as I stopped playing the upgrade game and just pay full retail for phones as needed (usually every two years for an even numbered Note device. ), which also has the added benefit of keeping grandfathered unlimited data. Monthly bill is $65 (with 20% employee discount, otherwise $75) for a single line (legacy Nationwide 500 minute voice plan and unlimited data). Used to pay per text (rarely use them), but recently received a customer loyalty promotion of 100 free per month for the next year. Data use averages about 2-3GB a month, sometimes a bit more if tethering to the phone's hotspot. But during the NFL season it can jump to 20+GB depending on how many games are streamed (via Sunday Ticket).

I'm very happy with Verizon's service and the price I pay for it (even if it were a bit higher too). They still have the best coverage where I live and work (with good XLTE speeds), as well as times I travel. I can be out in the middle of nowhere and still have coverage, even LTE in places I wouldn't expect it. So in the end, I really don't have a reason to look at any other service provider.

Yes but how much data do you use if you didn't use it at home as well ? I would probably of tried to get unlimited if I got decent connection at home but it'd 3 bars and around 10mbps

Most people who don't stream video it's probably cheaper to get rid of unlimited depending on your situation

3 phones (1 Android, 2 iPhones)
Sprint's Everything 1600 Plan (1600 min / mo, unlimited mobile-to-mobile, unlimited data & text).
Just under $180/mo with taxes and fees.

I've been with Sprint for 15+yrs and have rarely had any problem with them. I'd say over 95% of the contact I've had with them has been handled professionally. Coverage is good where I spend most of my time (home and work). Haven't experienced any loss of service while traveling.

I don't watch videos on my note 4, but I used 118gb on my note 4 line, 76 being tethering(mostly Netflix), plus 1.5 from NFL mobile, so about 40gb of data, not counting video streaming
