Who cares about Verizon customers anyway? (j/k)

I haven't had any problems as of yet.... If you continue having issues, try having someone else send you one from a Verizon phone. Lasjot resort, wipe everything, flash 001 build, then flash newest build over it. :)

Thanks! Will try to reflash via this method tonight. I did a complete wipe when flashing to the 002 build.

so, i flashed this rom and got really laggy when browsing. the problem was with the kernal. so, flashed current rom, and the 0725 kernal, and everything is running smoothly. love the rom. :)

Flash the 7272011 kernel! its the one drew said to run with this rom. I'm running it and all I have to say is its amazing!

It is also using the very latest version of the XioniaRedux kernel, so you do not need to update that after installing this build.

You shouldn't need to flash that kernel as it is now included (oh, I guess unless you flashed an older kernel over top -- may have misread the thread, sorry about that).

I beg to differ! Yesterday morning was the last time I charged this sucker and I'm at 46% almost 35 hours on one full charge with pretty consistent use. Web, text, calls. I couldn't be more happy.

Well yesterday I left home at 10 am w/100% power. Googled a bus schedule which took 4 mins. I know because I do it several times a week. I sent about 10-15 msgs received about 10-15 msgs. Checked Facebook for like 3 mins. Had 20 mins worth of phone calls. I know all these times because I knew I was going to be gone at least 4-5 hours. I played yoo ninja like 5 mins. And surfed the web like 10 mins pretty much on this site only. Came home at 4:00 with exactly 20% battery. On Scott Pilgrim I would have had 40%-50% garunteed. I've been using my phone like crazy since 1:00 and I went from 81% to 41% on Scott Pilgrim. And I'm talking HEAVY usage today. Also I noticed my phone seemed to take double the time to charge. What made me switch was last night I put my phone on the charger at 78% played a full game of MLB2K11 which took about 45 mins and my phone was at 94%. That's not terrible but
Its just not the normal I'm used to being on s.p. since early may. Now drew's rom is fast and really raises speed. I benchmarked at like 1040 on it. Oc'd at 748/320. On s.p. with the same settings I benchmarked 994. Bottom line is battery drained and charged at double the time of s.p. and every device user has priorities. Some of us care about speed, some signal, some newest updates and technology. I care about battery first.

Playing a graphic intense game while charging will slow your charging time as its draining a lot quicker then normal..

I was playing MLB2K11 ON xbox360 LOL. I was charging while I played. The games take an hour and I always charge while playing before I go to bed. I don't leave my phone on the charger all night. I get it full at night and when I wake up it'll be @ like 75-80% and I charge it in the am before I leave. I wish I could go 30+ hours with usage. I'd consider this the best rom ever LOL. Now what do you guys do to save power? Apps? Settings? My display is @ 40%

Do you guys use the collin_ph battery tweak?

Something in your settings is draining your batter like mad. My phone is sitting at 9 hours 50 minutes since off the charger and I am only at 70%. This is with an hour phone call, Google Talk all day long, and some moderate web browsing.

Of course for my settings.

Bluetooth is OFF
GPS is OFF
Account Sync is OFF
Email auto-retrieve is OFF
Weather auto-update is OFF
Wifi is OFF unless it is in use.

etc.. If I need those things to update, I update them myself. They drain battery.

Re: Drew's CyanogenMod Hacking thread (current build: 07/27/2011)

Well I do have auto sync on and email notifications enabled. Ill charge and try shutting them off

I'm at 75% battery after 9hr of pretty hard use, gps on, wifi for 2 hours, texting, Tapatalk, facebook, and some web. My email, twitter, G+ and facebook all autosync. So I guess my battery life is pretty excellent. Lol

Don't know why, bit on this ROM and ath3nos's I get ton's of random button presses. Sometimes it seems like my screen is going crazy.

Anybody else have this problem?

Dangit I love Gb but this is really annoying. Never had it happen before.

This is an excellent thread Drew! Very organized, very informative and helpful. It is because of people like you that are so helpful and knowledgeable that I continue to buy Android devices. Thank you for your work and support in the LG Optimus S android community.

So is bluetooth work Yet? I need to know before i flash this cause I use it everyday!!!

Re: Drew's CyanogenMod Hacking thread (current build: 07/27/2011)

This version of CM7 has to be the best ROM ever for the Optimus S. I switched over from Reborn, and I can already see my phone is alot more responsive and it has higher benchmarks also. Just one question regarding battery life though...Should this ROM be used with a battery saving app like Juicedefender, or should it just be left alone?
