I wasn't necessarily saying you caused the wifi tether issues. It certainly could be a pure CM issue. I'll do some digging around with that.
I know. That's just a statement of fact. That said, something may have been out of sync with the rest of the CM repos. I can't duplicate the problem with my home WiFi setup (WRT-600n w/ DD-WRT), but the phone has a really hard time maintaining a 54mbps connection (might have to turn down the power on the WAP).
People are reporting the same problems with the past few BACKside builds so I'm assuming it's not a kernel issue (unless we're both using the same version of the BCM4325 driver and the same binary blob).
The funny thing about that is I caused the wifi tether crashes due to incorrectly removing the BLUETOOTH tether menu. How about that? Stable build is uploading, will release when finished.
Yeah there are some interesting interdependencies. I'll recommend resyncing the repos and rebuilding just in case there was something out of sync. Jerry found a few CM bug reports regarding maintaining a stable WPA2 connection. But... I still can't duplicate the problem so.![]()
I resynced today for the pure purpose of starting from scratch. Everything should be all good![]()
I /just/ pulled in the signal strength display fixes. So make sure to grab the latest frameworks/base.
ARRRGH! Gotta love starting over.![]()
