Re: Drew's CyanogenMod Hacking thread

Drew, can you please have the last update date on the subject on the thread?

Re: Drew's CyanogenMod Hacking thread (current build: 07/26/2011)

As I read the intructions:

"Perform a FULL data/cache wipe from recovery mode. "

does this mean:

wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition

The wipe data/factory reset function wipes the cache partition automatically, so you don't need to discreetly wipe the cache partition. But doing it for redundancy can't hurt at all :p

I love my Cyanomoptimus :)

Re: Drew's CyanogenMod Hacking thread

If you don't wipe anything you wont lose the apps.
I recommend titanium backup everything, clear everything from recovery flash everything. Reboot. Data2ext --enable. Reboot. Restore from titanium. Works everytime!
I just Flashed the new ROM and reboot then went to tried Data2ext --enable and received a message:
Data2ext: not found

Need to re-install data2ext, it's not installed by default. You wiped everything, therefore it got removed.

First: this flash is sick/awesome/amazing .. many kudos :D

Bug Report: if you quickly drag up from the phone/apps/internet menu it disappears until you reboot.
If you press and hold on any of the it properly displaces them so they can be moved around or replaced. :)

Bummed about the USB Host. :(

That's not a bug - it's a feature of ADW Launcher. When you swipe up on the Dockbar, it hides it with a little shadow-type thing. Swipe down and it unhides it. Unfortunately it's not optional. I may disable it in a future build.

Nooooo don't disable that! I discovered that you can put 6 icons on the shadowy thingy, and that's what I use now! Lmao

Yes, you are correct.
I have reinstalled and it worked flawlessly.

Also, thank you for this ROM. You may have heard this many times but it is faster than any other cm7 roms and it feels so smooth.
thanks again

Definitely not a bug. Its like a tray where you can store app shortcuts. Swipe down to show swipe up to hide. When you are showing the DockBar drag app icons down into it.
If you don't like this feature you can disable it the ADWLauncher settings under UI Settings.
