No it is not dead, just sleeping. I'm spending a lot of time trying to get this thing to work with ZVH, as well as fixing various kernel issues. Where I'm at a standstill is whether or not Sprint/LG is going to release a "fixed" update. If it includes a new radio, it'll make my life much harder LOL

**** the radio! The radio has been nothing but a headache since its release. Zvd operates much better anyway lol.

At least everything works on Drew's CM7. I don't see how you can make it any better.

Always happy to help, hit that thanks button if I did

It is good but I know of at least 3 bugs I have mentioned in this build.

I think (could have been someone else) you said Bluetooth does not work, but it does, so that is not a bug. I would have look up other possible bugs mentioned.

Anyone having issues with the market working on this? I flashed on a friend's phone and the market keeps giving her an error saying package file invalid.

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Hey anyone have any trouble with MMS?? I can't view an MMS with multiple pictures. And when I save them to downloads folder and try to look at them in Gallery, the thumbnail is the right picture but when I click on it and the pictures loads, it changes to a completely different photo!! Really annoying :/

Everything else on this ROM is great!
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks!!

Where can we get the latest kernel that is compatible with this ROM? I flashed the 6.0 kernel and have too many problems. And I see that it is not for use with this ROM now.
Thanks.

You can go to Drew's old kernel that works pretty well with this ROM.

Also the Kernel by BobZhome mentioned in this thread for Kraven's build works fine as well

Pick your flavor.......

Are you flashing the systemdebug.zip before flashing the Rom? It should go like this: wipe, flash debug.zip, flash Rom, flash gapps. The most important part is wiping and flashing debug.zip.

Yup did all that I'm going to try again today
I didn't see the debug.zip in the instructions but I will do that. Quick question though what does the debug.zip do

Android does not fully wipe sometimes, even if you wipe all caches. So the debug.zip makes sure everything is erased and formated in those areas. So that why you don't end a with a small piece of a program from a previous rom screwing up you're new install.

You know what? I've been having the same problem. I didn't notice it until a couple weeks had passed after Drew's last update but it starts with a random reboot. Most of the time I'm not actually doing anything with it at the time and it just reboots. After the reboot, my data2ext4 partition ends up unmounted. Fortunately, all I have to do to restore it is re-flash the data2ext4 zip file. After that however, I start to experience the same issues that mgardner323 is pointing out. The random app FC's, followed by more & more frequent Google Frameworks FC's, random reboots on the order of 2-3 times per day and finally a point where I can't start ANY app without it FC'ing almost immediately. I only allowed it to get that far since my computer wasn't working for about a week and all of my flashable zip files were on it rather than my microSD card (never doing THAT again...). After that I completely wiped my phone, flashed the system debug, the 7.1.0.1.6 rom, and the 08/31 XioniaRedux kernel, and then the 06/13 Google Apps.

Right now it's working just fine but I'm thinking about popping over to thekraven's CM7 port until Drew releases a new build. It's been more than a week since the last time I flashed after all :p

Ya it just started suddenly but when I get a chance I am going try with the debug zip but I do think that it should be in the instructions if it is.suggested. it makes sense and out of all the times.I installed cm7 I never thouugt to run.debug

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

I'm curious, is there going to be anymore updates to this rom?

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

My phone is rebooting when I try to turn on the hotspot. It used to work flawlessly before.
I even tried a fresh install and the problem persists. Always used the latest stable build.
Not sure why such difference then, any ideas??

Hope its not hardware related :( Please advice if I have to adjust CPU settings.

I know the hotspot is a little buggy. I would try wifi tether for root users from the market. I have heard it is much more stable. It isnt integrated in the os like cm7's is, but maybe functionality will improve.

I hope this little phone can stay lively for at least one more year -- If I can squeeze that much out of it, I'll be able to upgrade and get out of this one and into some other newer, more betterer phone. Hopefully Drew has an Optimus to play with now whereas before he was using his primary phone for testing purposes...maybe that's helping the CM7 along a bit.
