Right, that's why I'm wondering if there is something I need to flash back to in order for it to recognize and OTA update. Or if there is a way to flash the update. I tried downloading it from droidlife, but the install aborts since I guess I'm not all stock.

I got my update. So far the phone seems to be running smoother and faster. Less lag.

Do your SMS delivery reports work?

Never used them. I know they are going through faster because I'm getting replies to my texts almost instantly. Damn near reminds me of BBM and iMessage.
My wifi doesn't seem improved. Still have a dead spot in my garage, but the speedtest result was impressive in the house. Been almost 24 hours now since I installed the update and it's definitely running smoother than before.

I had been using Zipwhip for my text messaging and it worked flawlessly. Now that I updated, I cannot receive any messages!! I got rid of Zipwhip and I just cannot seem to get it to allow messages to come in. I cleared the cache for text messaging and cleared the data for it. Any suggestions without doing a factory reset? I did a soft reset (volume down + power), a SIM pull, and deleted all accounts and apps related to Zipwhip. still nothing!

Alright my Google Maps is not working since the update. it doesn't have location access when I have all the location settings turned on. Anyone run into this yet?

Waze maps and Foursquare and all the other location based apps are working fine.

EDIT: solved. under the Google settings app in app drawer (green icon) Google apps location settings was turned off.

I received the update here in Orange County this morning. The only issue I came against so far was the Google App location setting. I found the following article useful.

Got the update yesterday in Minneapolis around noon and don't notice any changes in performance with anything, but my phone was running pretty well to begin with. Played around with camera and didn't notice anything different. Will try some low light shots tonight.

Hmm... Maybe it's not such a bad thing that I can't get the update right now with my non stock phone since about half the people seem to be having either map or text messaging problems.

Has anyone had any issues with the Email app? Ever since the 9.16.6 update, my RAZR MAXX HD is having issues with Corporate email and Bluetooth. Specifically, the Email app gives me a pop up that say that my security settings need to be updated with only the options to tap "OK" or "Cancel." When I tap "OK" nothing happens. Although, Bluetooth is completely disabled, as is "Internet Sharing" (which I assume to mean Mobile Hotspot), and I continue to get the "security settings need to be updated" popup periodically.

To make matters even more fun, I have Gmail loaded through the Email app (rather than the Gmail app because I really don't like the Gmail app) and it will only connect to the Gmail server when I am not connected to WiFi.

I've been doing a lot of internet research and have tried all the usual things (removing and readding the accounts, deactivating and reactivating device administrators, etc.), but nothing seems to be working. There seems to be a lot of smart people on these forums and so I am really hoping someone will come up with something brilliant.

I should also mention that my IT people at work are also working on the security policies on their end, but so far, even they are stumped.

You referring to the GPS issue with Google Maps? It's just the settings to enable location permission under the green Google settings icon.

Search Google for mattlgroffs fix root utility. I lost root when I took the job update but that fixed it in combination with Voodoo's root keeper.

So I just had the prompt to install the software and so far I haven't noticed any issues. The first thing I checked was Google Maps and it located me almost instantly.
