FedEx Sucks

Fed Ex doesn't suck, they're a damn good company that has never let me down.

Laughably false. They define their "days" to take as much time as they want. Mine was 2nd day. The 4th didn't count because holiday (although it was actively moving and updating in the system that day). They tell me the 5th is thus pick up day and doesn't count in the 2 days. 6th is day one, 7 and 8 are weekend, so 9th is 2nd day.... ???? they had my package actively moving in their system for 6 days and somehow that is 2nd day delivery?

True crap and why I use UPS when I can (who have had great service and times for me).

I just got my shipment notification--say it's shipped today, overnight, expected delivery of Tuesday. Wtf? Last I checked Tuesday isn't tomorrow.
It went into the FedEx system today. It will first actually ship tomorrow. You will get it on Tuesday. Some of us had to wait a lot longer after being notified that the phone was sent to FedEx. It's just the way it rolls sometimes.

I had the same exact situation. Take out the 4th and the weekend and it would have been 2 days. 2 days = 2 business days not week days. If something was shipped by UPS with the same drop off timelines I'll bet we wouldn't have gotten the phones any sooner considering the circumstances.

UPS isn't any better based on my experience.

Ouch! USPS? Hahaha
It's true. I had 3 packages shipped on July 3rd, 2 by USPS ground and the phone by FedEx 2 day, and the phone is the only one not delivered, yet it is coming by the fastest shipping method from the closest location, by far. I live in Rochester, NY and the phone is shipping from PA, 1 package came from Texas, and another from Louisiana. I don't know how Fedex manages to screw this up!

When it comes down to it.. each company handles billions of packages daily.. and the fact that a single package the size of brick can be delivered to your house is simply amazing when you think about it :D

There are two FedEx locations near my home so when someone is shipping overnight to me I send it to the address of the FedEx depot with "HOLD AT LOCATION" in the address. That way I can get it at my leisure. By the way I use FedEx and UPS on a near daily basis and FedEx is FAR superior! Brown (UPS) 'aint S**t, but they are awfully close.

Just a question, how do you decide which location the package goes to? Do you literally just give that address as your mailing address?

Granted I still think my GS3 should have arrived already...reading this thread has helped me understand (a little) why my phone is so close...yet so far away.

I live in central DE...about 2 hours from the West Chester, PA location where the phone originated on 7/6. From there it took a small trip west to Coatesville, PA and then went East to Newark, NJ by the next morning, 7/7. It sat there all day, until it again went West to go to Baltimore, MD...where it no doubt had to be driven through DE in order to get to Baltimore.

As of this morning, 7/9, the shipping info still says it is in Baltimore...and it has an expected delivery date of 7/10. It is infuriating to know how close it is, but I'm trying to make sense of it if FedEx prioritizes its shipments by delivery date...instead of doing the RIGHT thing and just sending all packages out to the customers as quickly as possible!

Mine is probably sitting right next to your phone in Baltimore. It's also been sitting there all weekend.
