[GB][2.11.605.0][Sense3.0]BAMF Forever 1.0.7

The FFC works fine with Skype and Tango and just plane old camera mode. People are saying it doesn't work with Google talk. I haven't confirmed that with me because I don't use Google Talk!

I am on Forever 1.07 and Skype with FFC displays as 90 degrees out of normal...would love to know how to fix that.

What's the 2.1 answer screen?

Look at the link in op. It's a mod that the dev supplied. It puts the answer call screen from sense 2.1 back in instead of the sense 3 screen. That has solved the bug where you can't answer a call.

I second the commenter above that I have not seen this on 1.0.7.

Ahhh total brain fart - I'll do a reset and see what happens, then maybe flash back to 2.1. Thanks for the help all!

Yes! This is what happens for me in GTalk and Google+ Hangouts. I really wish this could get fixed. Tango's quality sucks, even over wifi. But I've tried Gtalk/Hangouts and the quality is great, it's just that I'm sideways. Is there ANY ROM that this works on? Even the Stock? This is one of the main reasons I bought the phone. What purpose has there been for the FFC other than taking self portraits at low res? I've been dying to get this.

I went and bamf'ed myself today. Everything went smoothly and so far I'm lovin it.

I am having one problem .... I have verizon vvm and it works fine. I left a test message and the blue vzw vvm icon appeared and when I pulled it down it took me to the app where I listened to the vm.

Now I keep getting this green icon that says voicemail activity please sign in. I don't want the green notifier. How do I get rid of it? I tried to sign into that green one and it just says signing in forever but never gets anywhere. One notifier is enough. Just want to kill the green one( looks like a cassette tape.)
I assume this is the voicemail "fix" but it wont let me sign in and it keeps popping up in notifier bar.

Oh....and is there any way to get the htc battery widget with voltage, battery health, and temp of battery in this rom?

I flashed 1.07 last night, restored everything, and I am totally loving it.

The only issue I have right now is that my contacts from Facebook aren't syncing up and the ones that do dont have pictures. Any ideas?

Did you try rebooting?

Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me why the BAMF Forever roms don't have the new option menu to disable and enable LTE, since this is using 2.3.4 rom should this option be in rom as a default?

I installed apps from Market to add this option be I was just wonder.... Can anyone clear this up for me?

Just thought I would update this. After resetting battery stats, in CWM (don't trust the bamf menu, sorry), the battery life is excellent. However, I figured out that part of the problem is the dialer issue that a lot of people have been talking about. If I don't receive or make any calls, my battery life is outstanding. As soon as a call is made or received...boom. Battery starts dropping like a brick. Before I realized this, I would reboot the phone and that would fix it. Next time it happens, I'm going to see if I can kill the dialer in running processes.

This is an OS bug, not ROM bug. Hope this get's fixed, soon. It's a fairly annoying little bug.

Oh, and issue 1, below, has resolved itself. Not sure how, though. After the 5th time of entering the info, it finally stuck.

Been running 1.0.7 since last Friday. Love this ROM. Much thanks to the devs.

There are only a couple of issues I've found. I'm not sure if these are inherent to GB, or not. I've not seen mention of the first two: 1) Settings/Calls/Voicemail Settings. After a reboot, it wipes the phone number info I've stored for this. Didn't have this issue, on Froyo. I like to put my pin there, so I can just tap the notification and it dials VM and enters my pin after a pause. 2) Upon booting to the homescreen, no icons or widgets are drawn. In fact, they will not draw until I actually touch the screen. This could possibly be to a couple of widgets I have running at startup though.

The last issue didn't seem to start until after I tried out Imo's 3.8 kernel. On that kernel, I noticed my battery life nosediving even in standby. Before I flashed that kernel, I was getting pretty nice battery life (wiped battery stats after installing ROM). I flashed back to the stock kernel. The past two days I've monitored it and it's still nosediving even in standby. Example, today in a period of 45min I read 2 and wrote 1 emails. Battery dropped 12% in that period of time. I do not have BT or GPS enabled and I also have all autosyncs turned off (facebook, mail, etc...). I'm going to try wiping battery stats, again. I'm pretty sure that I've got something running that I don't realize yet. I did notice 3 instances of Calender running, under services.

I just wanted to see if anyone has seen the first 2 issues I've listed.

Is there a way to disable the spinning home screen? Sometimes it starts spinning when all I want to do is go to the next screen.

There isnt a way to disable this option, are you making sure not to flick the pages when you swith page because it only spins for me when i flick page instead of swioe page.

I understand why some might not like it but I always laugh when I do it. I think it's funny. I like the animation.

I just installed Skype and the front facing camera is turned 90 degrees
in landscape and portrait. Is this something that can be fixed?

No. at least not by mere mortals. The video being sideways is the work around from the Ffc not working period in the ota.

ROM Manager?

Rooted using Revolution and using BAMF 105 w/Sense 3.0 that I got from Rom Manager. My Question is do I have to get 106 and load then 107? or can I just load up 107? Also is there a video for this?

You can just flash 1.0.7... it has everything you need.

No video, but a great how to is a sticky thread at the top of the forum: http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html
