gbhil, just thought Id let u know I just flashed your ROM from Fresh 1.1 WITHOUT wiping and everything is working PERFECT so far!! Great work!!! Still testing all my apps but so far so good!!! Thanks for a great rom!!!

I tried out the SMS count and it kept force closing whenever I rebooted my phone. LOL Needless to say I uninstalled it.

When active, anytime you answer a call it's goes to speakerphone by default.

LOL I had too. I was trying to figure out the lock screen stuff. On a previous ROM I had the clear lock with no background. How would I get that back? On Edit, this ROM kicks ASS!! Good work!

inside look for /res/drawable-land-480x320. There's 4 png files. The lockscreen_prompt_back.png is the shading that appears when you get a notification, and the other three are the arc.

Make them transparent, copy them back to the apk and push it back to the phone.

delete everything in the /system/etc/lockscreen/port folder

delete /system/HtcLockScreen.apk

reboot.

What I want to say about this ROM, though, is that it is QUICK. Question: Where do I go to edit transitions? The zoom in and out is nice, but I like the sliding side to side that is stock on the Hero. Is this something I can change myself without being an expert ROM cooker?

lol. I haven't had crap in the box for ages. Not much of a fast food selection here in the woods

Look in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Inside you want to overwrite the files in the /res/anim/ folder with the files from a stock Hero ROM.

I don't believe Chomp supports MMS. I know Handcent does.

@ esoteric1311 ChompSMS says it supports MMS. The system permissions support it and so do the app settings. In the stock messaging app I have auto-retrieval turned off, but it is turned on in Chomp. Does that make any difference?

The messages are coming in. A bubble pops up and says "new message" briefly, but then it goes away without retrieving the picture. Weird. I'm using all default settings except the notification tone and vibration, T-Mobile network, and "Show only mobile Contacts."

use handcent sms it's alot better then chomp.I have no issues sending or receiving sms and mms
