When you unpack Nookcolor-easyADB it must be unpacked to "C:". Once it has finished unpacking to "C:", open the new android-sdk-windows folder, then the platform tools folder. Somewhere inside the folder, hold shift and rightclick an empty spot, Select "Open Command prompt here". Now, at this point, HC needs to be installed and running with the NC powered on. Plug it in to your usb port. and start typing the command promt text into the black prompt screen EXACTLY as it appears including the spaces . Once you type the reboot sequence, sit back and watch the NC reboot back into HC. Once its rebooted, unplug the NC and look inside the apps menue on the upper rt corner of the screen. If the Market is not there simply restart your NC and it should appear then. Thats how I did it. It is done as the instructions dictated except the instructions left out step-by-step details assuming that we are all quite comp. literate. But It gave me enough info to figure it out. No, you are not "rooting" your nook. You are simply installing HC 3.0 onto the external SD card. If you remove the sd card you will have your stock nookie back. That being said, you do need to HC installed and operational on your sd card, thats the 1st step. Once thats done, follow the adb instructions.
The disk imager. Right click on the win32diskimager.

I've got a problem i haven't seen addressed yet...I put HC on my NC last night. Everything worked great. I linked my google account, downloaded market place and even downloaded Nook app and some others. Now, about 5 hours later, i can't get past the unlock screen. when i push the unlock icon the screen shuts off. please help
If you wish, you can root the HC version on the SD card without affecting the stock Nook. See this thread.
Can't get device seen by ADB
I have Honeycomb on my SD card on my color nook - works great!
But I can't get ADB to see the device to get the marketplace on it....someone said there was a way to install the marketplace wirelessly???

I am having an issue on pushing the Vending.apk to the device. When I execute the following command adb push Vending.apk system/app/Vending.apk I get "Failed to copy 'Vending.apk' : Read-only file system" error. I did the previous step of mounting the drive and it seemed to mount because I got the following on the command line. Usage:mount [-r] [-w] [-o options] [-t type] device directory. I am trying this on a Windows 7 machine with ADB loaded and it is recognizing my device(finally).
Anyone have any ideas. I really love the look of honeycomb on the nook and have been playing around with it, but obviously need the marketplace loaded up.

I used the driver only program. A big thank you goes out to thecubed for that one. But now I am stuck on actually being able to push the market to my device.

Thanks Monkey and Adontain! That was it I had missed a space at the end before the system path. Got the market on now lets cross our fingers that it will launch and let me sign in.

I didn't realize that when I tried it. Once I checked my spacing I got the commands to work. The only really difficult time that I had is loading the ADB right. If your a noob like me you really have no clue in what you are doing. I started out on a MAC but found no help what so ever. At least on a pc there were solutions. It all ended up being getting the right driver.
On a side note thank you again to all for the help, those you responded and those who answered others questions. All of the post on this thread was helpful. I know what I will be doing tonight, playing with my HC droid. heheh

Thanks to those who put this together. The NC is my first android anything and i was able to get honeycomb running on the NC.
I have HC installed, and then I d/l the sdk windows driver from page 53. I click the setup.exe and it says it installed the driver and it's ok to plug in the nook. I do, and nothing else happens.
It only has a drivers folder... to get the the market I need to find a folder with adp.exe, and I'm just not finding that. What am I missing? I feel stuck... the instructions reference the folder with adb tools in it, but nothing I've done has this file in it? I installed the driver, and it seems to show up fine in windows.

When I insert an SD Card and power on all that I see is ANDROID_ in green letters and it is completely unresponsive (including the power button). Had to wait until the battery died! Please help! Thanks!
Incorrect API Level
Is anyone else seeing incorrect API levels?
Logging both Build.VERSION.SDK and Build.VERSION.SDK_INT report API level 9 (which is Android 2.3) rather than 11 (Android 3.0). This is causing the app I am developing to fall back into phone-mode rather than loading the rich tablet UI.
