HTC one available for purchase in store today?

We're all impatient! I didnt see anything saying it wasnt for purchase yet when i was there but the first thing the lady said was "we have it on display but we wont be selling til next friday"

Yeah att is making it worst by not having the display noting the availability date. This will make it less frustrating for the impatient people.

Just left sprint and an at&t store. Nada, in louisiana. They had the posters up. But said they wont have any display models until the 19th.

I live in Baton Rouge and they have them out on display.

Well i have been keeping in contact with best buy to make sure of some things. You will need to be an authorized user on the acct and they said they will EMAIL you the day the phone comes available.. which i dont like id rather take a phone call or even an email a day BEFORE would be great so i could plan ahead of time. I should have just pre ordered at sprint because i can pick up the phone on my lunch break at work, but i wanted to go the best buy route with insurance..

And with sprint they said i could go in and just give them the acct password and Best Buy said either the acct holder had to be there or an authorized user..

Is everyone having luck now buying them today?? What I don't understand is they have them on display with price and everything, yet they say not until next week??? Why put it on display then?

Because they can order one for you and have it shipped to you. So you can test one out and order it, you just can't take one home. Unless you're at a store that didn't know what they were doing apparently

The att stores that are selling them probably don't know much. It launches on the 19th and my location would not be selling them if we had them in stock. We can't. I work for att and reps that sell them may get in trouble. We have the phone for demo but not for sale. I work at a corporate company att store and maybe the stores selling them are authorized retailers? Theyre idiots a lot of times and work on mainly comission. The phone is badass.

I went and looked at one today at my local corporate store and I didn't think that much of it. Definitely not worth trading my GS3 for it. The front facing speakers were nothing like what I expected and the UI did nothing for me.

I bought the last one at the corporate store in Eastview Mall this afternoon, they'd already sold 5 of them. They said they were showing out of stock for all locations nearby (Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse) but that a store in Auburn has 5 in stock

Meh. I wasnt totally blown away either. But what did you expect it to be? For now, the phone is amazing compared to anything else out there. I hate the GS3 but thats just personal preference. Sorry that it cant make sandwiches for you. Thinking into the future though if Key lime pie looks sick, the HTC One will make it even better. Android is still android. How different can it be from phone to phone ya know?

I went in with my N4 and the One blows that away. If you care at ALL about build quality, then the One is the way to go. I care about that and I also want to support HTC and keep them in the game.

So I pre-ordered with Best Buy 3 weeks ago. I'm coming from an Iphone 5. I browse Craigslist today to see how much Iphone are going for because I was either going to trade mine in or sell it. Well I see an ad on their with someone wanting to trade The HTC One for a Galaxy Note 2 and $100 cash. Long story short I traded him my Iphone 5 and $150 cash for the HTC One. The guy actually worked for a Sprint retailer and claimed that he won the phone during an HTC training meeting. Phone was sealed. Great phone. Much lighter than I thought it would be. Definitely needs a case. Sound is incredible. I will post some pics as soon as my friend comes over because the only camera I have is on my phone. I got to keep my upgrade credit and still have my pre-order from Sprint.

I have the iphone 5 so buiild quality seeming normal is a good thing. I picked up a gs3 to compare and its complete garbage. But yeah im stoked dor this phone. I have till the 28th to return my iphone

You know if you go to the AT&T HTC One page and click "check in-store availability " it will show stores that have them in stock. Only one store near me has it.. But I'm going to just wait
