I've got a Nexus 6P here, lets get some questions going!

I agree. I hate using a plastic screen protector, particualrly when I am playing games. Glass is so much smoother and much closer to actual glass of a screen. They do however add weight and thickness so I can see why some may not like it. I have a glass screen protector on my iPhone, and a plastic one on my Nexus 5. I switched out to glass on the iphone and did not feel any issues with brightness because of it. I must admit however that I havent rocked a bare phone in some years now so don't know how modern screens perform against the routine scratches etc.

I have not used a screen protector since my palm pre (it was so cute that I felt like I needed to protect it from the world), which means many different android phones over the years with evolving variations of gorilla glass. I have never used screen protectors or cases to absorb impact. My old nexus 5 and current htc one m8 were dropped, dinged, thrown, stepped on, carried in pockets full of coins and keys, thrown in backpacks, and every method of abused. Both have a few little scruffs on the corners of the phone from "big" drops on asphalt or something, but neither has ever had so much as even a microscopic scratch on the screen. Gorilla glass does it's job, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Russell, could you do more extensive camera samples on sans hdr and with hdr+?
Especially occasions when highlights are blownout (as many other reviews say).
I want to see lots of examples side by side (sans hdr and hdr+ on).
Thanks.

I have seen multiple gorilla glass phone screens scratched. I'm not sure what's caused it but the glass screen protectors are hardly noticeable that they are even installed. Some people don't have an eye for small details or they just simply don't care as much as others. I like my devices to look brand new months after buying them. At $3 for a glass screen protector why not add the cheap insurance.

Snapdragon 810 V2.1. How is it holding up? Does it overheat? When? How bad? Throttle? AGHHH

There are absolutely no issues with overheating. i push my phone a lot and the screen is on all of the time. I have all antennas engaged and I have yet to witness a hot phone. this Nexus is so good that i feel like i cheated someone! I can't see anyone spending money on this phone and being unhappy with their purchase unless of course they got a lemon. Nearly every single feature of the 6p outshines the 6 and i have both. Ok, I'm done typing and would love to say more, but i'm typing from my laptop and the typing lag on this site is unbearable.

So is it true that you can't adjust the notification volume separately (the ring and notification volume only has one slider)?

Only ever remember having one slider for calls and notifications with past nexus phones and versions of Android, and yes, one slider on my 6p

I guess CM had me spoiled. It doesn't seem that hard to do...

Here's a question I can't seem to find an answer for: does the 6p/Marshmallow have the Daydream feature that was introduced with 4.2 ... and then totally screwed up in 5.0? I had liked a similar feature on my Blackberries, and was happy to see it come to Android, until Lollipop mucked it all up. Just wondering if I'll get it back when my Nexus arrives.

Marshmallow has the Daydream feature. So far as I know, it does work but I have seen some complaints from a user of a 5X that the fingerprint sensor does not work when Daydream is active.

Thank you for confirming that. I had hoped they had kept it with Marshmallow. That's odd about the fingerprint sensor, though I still can't figure out the quirks that developed with Lollipop (with the latest iteration, it works with wired charging but not with wireless charging ... until it's fully charged and I take it off the charger, open the phone, and put it back on the wireless charger, then it will sometimes work).

I am SO looking forward to this phone, and this is just one more thing to look forward to. Thanks again.

I got my 6P today and have played with it a bit. Daydream does appear to be working fine, though I am finding the fingerprint scanner does not work while Daydream is active. It's not a big issue, I find I just need to hit the power key, then the fingerprint sensor works. I'm guessing this is the same type of issue with the camera, how the fingerprint sensor does not work if you tap the power key twice to start the camera.

How does one activate Daydream?

Why does the number of megapixels change if you change camera settings to 16:9? Since you get less megapixels, that doesn't degrade anything? Just trying to understand really.

The check box to enable wireless display option seems to be missing. Is this a glitch? I can't mirecast to my Roku. With nexus 4 and 5 I can.
