Doesn't matter what you say! I have already said the same in my posts. At this moment the 805 in all practical sense is a tablet processor.
I also haven't seen nor do I believe anyone else have seen either "Prime" pass Bluetooth cert or any other cert for the US showing an 805 processor installed.
PS. Does anyone really think that Samsung or HTC would take a chance bringing out 2 flagships within 6 months let alone the same year. Consumer and financially stupid.
And if "BIG IF" they do in the states it will not be running an 805!

From htc's perspective it would be stupid because they are already bleeding money and the One is getting crushed by the s5 already so bringing out a second phone doesn't really so much, because only their hardcore fans will buy it.

From samsungs perspective, why the heck not? Nothing to lose.

Regardless, both phones are real, the code for the prime showed up on samsungs own website a few weeks ago, it's set in stone. As for the prime One, it will be out soon as well

It also doesn't mean that either phone is bound for the us .... The g pro 2 didn't come to the us and with no announcement from either company ... It may end up being a international phone only ..

Though 805 doesn't have integrated LTE modem, the new Gobi MDM9x35 chip based on 20nm process should be super efficient LTE modem. So if 805 is paired with that one, I don't think battery drain would be much worse than 801 if not better. Also there is another version of 805, APQ8984 that contains LTE modem. So I wouldn't write off 805 for smart-phones yet. 810 won't be making to phones until Q1 next year at the earliest.

Well.......... Eff this thread I guess. What once was a exciting thread and a place for anticipation build up, has turned in to the usual arguing and I told you so BS.

I would not buy a Samsung prime anything great phone but lousy radio ruins device yet again

I would not argue that the 2 prime's are real... I just don't think they will hit the US market, and if they do I don't see the ready 805 to come with it.

I personally am excited for the G3, whether it comes with 801/330 or not. It will be optimized to work either way. I'm not worried, excited or anticipating the S5 or the One prime. If they even make it to the states in all their glory, they will not touch my 5.5" 2k screen in an S5 or HTC the One frame.
The G2 is proof they are in this game to win!

PS. After reading my crap along with others, I feel stupid. The phone isn't even out yet. But at the same time the G3 will hit the states with specs and features the rest don't have at release time in the US.
What is funny is these LG bashers will be sporting the G3 in these forums when all said and done... Unless they are just trolls in the first place.

Folks let's keep the discussion civil. I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments but a few have stepped a bit over the line, leaning towards insults and we don't need that in what is otherwise a good discussion.

FWIW, Myself along with other Moderators have cleaned up or edited (to remove insults or language) comments from multiple posts.

Enjoy your weekend folks!

My only problem is the QHD-S801 combo ,which would effect the battery and performance for sure.

As posted before onscreen performance of G3(S801-QHD) display would be worse than G2 in T rex HD benchmark which basically reflects real world performance .

Don't we already have tablets with 2k screens and 800/801 processors? Is the performance garbage? I think it's funny how many think the 805 will revolutionize smartphones especially with the 810 coming. There will always be something better.....Just pick a phone and be happy with it. There is also more to a phones performance than the number on the soc. I'm super excited for the G3!

That's not the point.
I don't need the best soc out there what I need is modest performance (by which I mean improve upon G2 ) Heck I wouldn't mind a Full HD screen,
for the performance gain

Well that's just my opinion .

Not sure I understand what you mean? It's a safe bet the G3 will have performance gains over the G2 with the upgraded soc

Yes it will, but the offset of 77% more pixels to push will easily overcome barely 30% of GPU clock increase (mind you its not the no of shader units that have increased just the clocks as both have the same adreno 330 GPU )

I am strictly talking about onscreen performance here.

The more that this gets leaked, the less interesting it becomes. It went from being a true flagship, to being just another minor upgrade over the g2. Will wait for official specs tomorrow but just losing appeal as/the specs continue to drop

It's still the best looking phone on the market, and at least it has more ram than the gs5. May be just a minor upgrade to you, but I really like the phone and we haven't even seen the software yet

By those standards, pretty much every new phone is a "minor" upgrade over the previous one. There's almost never a super compelling reason to do this and it makes sense since most people will upgrade every 2 yrs anyway

The G3, by the looks of it, is gonna suffer severely at the hands of that QHD display with only a 801 SoC!

You got it, it will be replacing my cracked screen S3 so to me it will be a massive upgrade.

To those tossing out all these "facts" on how much the phone will suffer, why not wait until the phone is out before making that call? I somehow doubt LG is so naive to release a phone that is slower than the current one...maybe that's just me...
