[LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.6 (8/06/11)

Re: Liquid Thunderbread v2.2 (7/8/11)

How do you get browser out of mobile view? there is no check box for this option, so all my webpages come up as mobile view?

Are you getting an error message??? I'm sure you've cleared data and cache on the app already... and rebooted.
when I was trying to sign in on my amazon app I was getting an error message to try again later... WELL... after clearing everything and rebooting to no avail, I called amazon and found out that I had used up my allotted amount of "devices" that I can use the app on... basically, every time you use a different ROM and sign back into amazon, it is considered a new device... the dude on the phone was real cool and just cleared out all the past devices for me. now I am good as new... NOW since I got Nav working and amazon app store working... I am NOT leaving this lean and mean ROM... I am really impressed with it... I uninstalled launcher pro and use adw ex with all of the liquid goodies... this is a very well built ROM...

SO, if you ever hear of anyone with the same amazon problem I had tell them to go to the website and clear the devices under the apps section :)

Interesting issue with Amazon... this might even be interesting to start a thread with this issue to notify other Amazon user that this is a KNOWN ISSUE.

Good idea... Also, you may want to update the TITLE of this thread, i saw you updated the thread but not the title... also, I included that kernel you could put in the OP if you want too... up to you.. I really like this ROM alot... ALOT...

on another note, I am really getting sick of the drama at XDA, people just wont let stuff go. I say, come here or go to rootzwiki for all of you need.. unfortunately alot of the needed kernels are still at XDA...

I just figured out how to update the Title of the thread... I did not see the Advanced button when you edit the main thread before trying this time.

I agree XDA is a necessary evil... I'm beginning to look at RootzWiki more now that I know it exists. I'm see more and more links to the same ROMs over there... and that includes some Kernels.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.3 (7/13/11)

So i flashed the new 2.4 but had some weird issues and reverted back to 2.3... this is by far one of my most favorite roms...

advice to anyone reading this, if you DO NOT LIKE launcher pro (which is built into this ROM) you can use any launcher you want, I use adw ex. BUT first install your launcher of choice and THEN remove Launcher Pro under the 'Liquid settings' - 'Application' - 'Remove apps' :) according to some people at "the other site" ;) if you don't do it this way you may run into some issues... just an fyi...

Also, that Kernel link that I listed a few posts up for screen wake... it works perfectly :)

I think what you are looking for is under 'liquid settings" - 'Applications' - 'Browser Settings' ...

I hope this helps... I am not really sure what you mean... like sometimes when I go to certain sites they are meant for mobile view and some sites are not meant for it... if the advice I gave you doesn't help, please elaborate for me what happens when you go online via your phone :)

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

I am new to rooting and romming.... However I would like to be on a ROM that is as basic as possible with zero bloat ware. Is this the ROM for me?

It is a AOSP (Android Open Source Project), which is as close to bloat free as you can get.

Downloading the LTBv2.4 version right now... will install shortly after I create a backup.

****EDIT: Just checked GPS (a little slow picking it up, but I'm in my house)... Wifi picked up quick. I did my update from v2.3 without wiping any data or cache.

Yes it is a Gingerbread ROM, hence the Thunderbread name.

How do you flash a governor? I wanted to do the interactiveX but didn't see the download. Is it done through Terminal?

for example when i go to aol.com i want the actual website, not the mobile version.
i looked under the liquid setting and found nothing and also on the browser settings.

Are you using the default browser? If you are, when you pop it open, go to about:debug (nothing will look like it changed once its done loading) hit menu -> more -> Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom, you will see an option that says UAString. Change this to Linux Desktop and it will load full versions instead of mobile versions by default. its a browser setting not a ROM setting.

People are saying GPS is slow on this one. I'm going to give it an install anyway, since its not the most important thing for me. Let us know how things are looking for you, I'll do the same later tonight.
