I've done three phones like that now. It works 110%.

Dang, that and the link below are the only 2 things I've seen on here (& I have not tried either one of them fyi)
[VIDEO] HowTo UnRoot Incredible by downgrading - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
Yea, thanks. Unfortunately, I tried the first, but again the bootloader is different and I guess that does not apply to my situation. When I try to install the zip it just errors.
I am going to try the second one, but the download is incredibly slow. Apparently there is high traffic. Also, I have a mac not a pc and I do not believe I will be able to do it on a mac.
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I basically need to just start over from scratch, so if anyone has instructions on how to do that, I would be grateful. Thanks again.....![]()
Since you have S-Off, just flash the PB31IMG file from that downgrade video link and you will be back to stock 2.1 with original 1.0 radio
Now, if you are going to install the 2.2 OTA after that, make sure you install the May OTA first.
Thanks everyone. Just finished and can't wait to kill my battery playing with it. It was so easy a caveman could do it!!Off to work for a couple hours then back to download. Can someone post detailed instructions (that an idiot could understand) on here? Thanks for the help and thanks for the zip. Hope everyone has an awesome day. Waiting on hurricane earl in VA.
Try to cut it, then paste.I downloaded the update.zip file to my computer's hard drive. When I try to drag and drop it onto the root drive of my SD card, I get a error message saying: Cannot copy update: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).
Any suggestions please?
Congratulations!

Yes i did. my bootloader is different for some reason. it does not ask if i want to install. I have to select recovery and then I can select to install the zip file. Either way, I tried that, but it errors out. no luck.
im just rooted but not with unrevoked forever..and when i try this it doesnt work
edit: I forgot to mention that if you have the shapewriter keyboard installed, it still works perfectly (I have not encountered any errors with it yet).
I'm not sure if this has been asked...but do I need to root my phone in order to upgrade the phone through the .zip?
