Read first post then post battery results

To be fair, apps can also keep the phone awake even if the screen if off.
Compare your awake time with screen on time. The awake time will be much higher.

i know but when you got 10 ppl getting 4hrs of use and 3 saying they get 30hrs it stands out

Okay i think its safe to say with a 1400 stock battery you will get 4hrs

so a 1600 you will get 4.5hrs

and the brick 2750 you will get 7.8hrs

Why do they say 6.3 hrs of talk time then?

This is just my guess, but: it's the display that eats up so much battery, correct? And the display is generally off during a call unless you're multitasking. So in that case I can see this being possible.

oh good point yeah i was thinking 6hrs of use but your prolly right if the screen was off i bet you might even get more then 6hrs of talk time as the screen on my phone with it on the lowest setting eats 57% up as of right now

what time does unlimited nights start at ill do the test tonight if my phone charges in time

48%

Uptime 6:24:41

awake time 1:55:27

So looks like i wont even get 4hrs today...

Also keep in mind my screen is all the way down. I turned off 4g, I also turned off all updates and push, Even my weather clock app dont work everything is off!!!

No sorry proof is in the threads you posted http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-thunderbolt/70990-1600-aftermarket-battery-test-3.html

Go look at his thread he posted at 7am with 2hrs on phone then posted later saying he had blah blah there is a 4hr diff. Now i see he edited the post at 9 so that might explain 2 of the 4hrs missing but who knows and i dont care i just wanted to know what people where getting on the battery no reason to lie. Htc said no more then 6hrs so if your reporting more then 6hrs on oem its a no brainer. Now he does have 200 extra ma but that is about 30 more min of use time if you do the math compared with what others are saying they get for awake time.

Yeah, go look at the thread. I posted my intentions - at 8:34AM - NOT 7am as YOU say, it's time stamped for all to see. You should STOP calling people liars, get the facts - you are CLEARLY wrong in this instance.

I then edited the post at 10:41 AM (AGAIN TIMED STAMPED BY THE WEB SITE) with this updated info:

2 hours and twelve minutes, at 80%:

2 phone calls, 55 minutes.

my computer says you posted at 734am and edited at Last edited by Mike_is_Mike_is; Yesterday at 09:41 AM

Maybe a mod can clear this up? Different time zones? Idk

I dont care either i posted this for stock results not to fight. If you want to keep going on with it lets do it in yours. I got 10 pages of this.

Trying to get real info and i have a few doing it.

besides it dont matter you had to make a error on your test because everywhere on the net and even a few here are saying 3-4hrs on a 1400mh battery so if you have a 1600 your not going to get 6-7hrs more no way in the world.

I doubt you will get the info you say you are looking for when you accuse people of lying who are trying to give their results.

We are obviously in different time zones when your commuter reads 7:34 AM and mine reads 8:34 AM - all the more reason to get the facts before calling people liars.

I think a moderator probably will clear this up, because I have reported you.

Believe what you want. I will just continue to use my phone for as long as each charge lasts. If it happens to last longer than than you think it should, I will just have to find a way to cope with those longer Up times and Awake times.

Good luck on your battery testing quest.

So I'm now at 8hrs up time and 1:30 wake time and my battery is at 58%

I've been checking twitter, facebook, playing words with friends and even watched a video on funny or die. It's not great battery life, but its better than yesterday for me.

i was only getting about 2hrs of use time when i first got it but now its stable at 4hrs for the past 3 charge cycles.

So it looks like your not going to make it to 4hrs so i think my phone is fine and just not the right phone for me...

I'm at 10:10 of up time and 2:11 of awake time sitting at 69% I have been texting the wife quite a bit, checked the net a few times, looked in the market for some apps, and moved things around on my screens.

wow thats a big diff. I dont understand...

You sure your using the back key to exit and not hitting home and then when you turn the screen off those apps are keeping your phone awake because you can do that... Not saying you are just trying to understand why times are so different

hmmm, never paid attention to how I do it actually. I will try to pay attention to my self when I do it. So you are saying I should hit the back button when I finish something or hit the home button?

I wonder what you're doing differently than I am. I've been trying just about anything to get longer battery life

i have been getting 6+ easily for the past 3 days

moderate usage,

heavy on lunch and breaks

great phone!

yes you have to hit back or menu exit to close apps if not they will stay running in the back round and keep your awake time going even when the phone is sleeping.
