[ROM] [04.19.11] BAMF Remix 1.5 - New base RUU plus more! *UPDATE*

No.

I'm about to re-do the root and start over....

Ok that happen to me last night delete the PG05IMG.zip from your sd card completly. Then install the rom using rom manager via recovery. Do not leave that .zip file in your memory card.

From the problems I was having yes. Anytime anything with flash tried to load it didnt give a force close message. Instead it just kicked back to the home screen. Installed flash after running the fix and everything worked fine.

Hey this fix my browser. Now if someone could tell me how to get the skin that came with rom back I changed skins and lost it. I only see dusk and dusk BAMF but I want the rosie one.

I am in the middle of re-rooting (starting over).....

Do not leave which PG05IMG.zip file on my sd card? The 399mb one from the root or the 25mb one from the radio update for the rom?

By the way I just saw a min ago during this root it said Radio_v2....so I'm thinking that the radio update is already included in this root?

So what EXACTLY do I do after I root??

So I current have the PG05IMG.zip on my sd card from the root.....you want me to delete that then copy and paste the radio .zip and remix .zip then do what you said?

Yeah delete the PG05IMG file from root. I'm curious though since you left the radio file on while rooting. Go to menu-settings-about phone-software info, what does it say for baseband, and software number?

Ok I just deleted the 399 mb PG05IMG .zip file off of my sd card and replaced it with the 25 mb PG05IMG .zip file. So that one and the remix one are both on there, ready to go.

baseband version: 1.16.00.0223r
Software number: 1.12.605.6

Can you tell by those credentials if my re-rooting updating the radio or do I still have to update the radio via the 25mb .zip file before flashing the rom?

I just don't know if I'm ready to flash the rom or if I should do the radio .zip file first then flash the rom........

Yes I flashed clockwork mod recovery and made the nandroid backup already.....

Ok great, now since we had trouble installing the radio first last time, I would flash the rom first this time. It really doesn't matter what you do first or not. Once you have the rom flashed, then you'll have the correct software for the updated radio to run on. Now follow the directions to install the remix rom in the guide. Once that is done install the radio through the bootloader

Well Nate I am rebooting right now....just updated the radio thru bootloader.....what now? Follow guide to flash remix?

What is SetCPU? Is that for over/under-clocking?

Some have experienced random reboots with setCPU or with the whole mod in general?

SetCPU is an app that the developers use for their kernels to overclock, and undervolt. There are different governors like ondemand, smartass, performance that you can use. Ondemand is the default for this kernel, and gives you good performance, while saving battery life as well. Smartass is more of a battery saving setting, and performance is used more for well, performance.

This particular kernel from Adrynalyne is experimental, and he has many others to choose from. It could explain why some people were having the random reboots, but I'm not sure about that.

Nate
First off thank you for all your help and advice.

I know what patience that entails and the forum appreciates it.

Quick Q for you. As a very happy BAMF 1.5 user, do I need to have set CPU installed as well or is it part of the kernel?

Again, TIA.

You need setcpu to be able to make changes in the values and create profiles if you choose to.

Hey nate do you know how to get the skin you have after you first install the rom? I changed it and now i dont have it or can't find it.:'(

Should HTC Sense still work after this? I'm just curious as I noticed I was unable to make it work after this ROM... Not a deal killer in the least lol - but I figured I should ask
