[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

I flashed AOKP 2 days ago, love it less 2 items. I have been running Bugless Beast since Aug 3 and love that ROM too.

Thing 1...Google Play Movies worked on BB but not on AOKP.

Thing 2...BB stock calendar app displays Google calendar colors but AOKP will not. Not a huge deal but I color code items in the calendar for quick recognition.

Try a different GAPPS package.

I hope a Milestone build doesn't take too long. I'd really like to get back on AOKP, but Codename Android 3.2 is working great for me, and I'm not sure I feel like flashing back to AOKP "just because" right now.

Flashed Build 1 with the Unicorn and got my swag going, lol!
it did an auto gapps reinstall. :)
Just bummed that my sms backup + did not work :(, it restored stuff from June 2012 even though I have it set up to back up every 24 hours.
I like having my call log and texts backed up for references.

No joy. Tried jb gapps 20120719 and 21020727.

Check our GAPPs thread. Try either xoomdev's 7/23 package or Formula84's package. Be sure to dirty flash them with the rom (rom first, GAPPs second), and be absolutely, 100% certain to wipe cache, dalvik, and system.

The issues you described are solely GAPPs issues, not ROM issues :).

No, but if it does what you say then the GAPPs are closer to the GAPPs packages I listed than the CM/AOKP official GAPPs (and the packages you tried).

Unfortunately, no one has really sorted out what the "best" is. I personally use the xoomdev package, mainly because it's what works for me.

+1 for xoomdev. Used formula for my last flash, cm gapps before that. Xoomdev is the only one that I've got to auto restore everytime. It's also the only one I've had no real issues with.

Same. You don't by any chance have a mirror of it, do you? For the kind members participating in this thread, that is :).

So it's like a Black Lotus Magic the Gathering card, only actually usable.

Thanks!

Still no joy with the aokp-0723 gapps. I know he calendar item color is not a custom tweak on BB because my stock nexus 7 displays calendar item colors.

Oh well. Love the customizations of AOKP just miss the calendar colors of stock JB in BB.
