[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

Back on the Unicorn. It really is sweet. I would like to see the option to clear all current apps. Just a quirk I have, and some ROMs have that feature built in ( so I guess others share my quirk ).

Having been on JBSourcery, MIUI, CM10 Euroskank, CNA and JellyBelly over the past couple months, this ROM still has them all beat when taking everything into consideration for what a ROM should offer and how it should perform. Just my humble opinion. :)

any good choices for a boot ani? I went back to the white unicorn with the wheel.
is the original JB multi color X available? or something cooler?

Also is it me or does AOKP boot quicker that Euro? or just my wishful thinking for a quick boot time with JB.

My boot time seems about the same, possibly a tad quicker. Only rebooted a couple times, hard to say for sure.

I have not looked for a new bootani, but wouldn't mind something else to spice it up a little.

So it's like a Black Lotus Magic the Gathering card, only actually usable.

Thanks!

I had one of these at one point and I remember using it.... At least once. If for no other reason than to show it off.

I too am surprised this came up. :)

No, but if it does what you say then the GAPPs are closer to the GAPPs packages I listed than the CM/AOKP official GAPPs (and the packages you tried).

Unfortunately, no one has really sorted out what the "best" is. I personally use the xoomdev package, mainly because it's what works for me.

Calendar colors were good with Formula84 gapps, but no joy for Google play movies. Tried to rent a movie and it gave a message the the rental period had expired.

I like the JB boot animation and use it on all my devices.

So for people using the stock kernel, what power management settings are you using for battery life?

So far my battery life has been noticeably worse than when I was running Bugless Beast.

Volume splitting. Just tap the settings icon on the slider bar.

need some help,

I did the Flash to Build 1 and until last night I was able to have the phone and alerts sounds at different levels.
Last night I lowered the volume level for alerts. This morning I went into audio manager and they are both tied together again. I checked in settings-rom control-sound settings but I dont see any setting to split.

Thanks!

I even checked under setting-sound-volumes and under volumes pop up box ringtone and notifications (alerts) are 1 slider bar.

Never mind brain woke up I see what you meant by volume switch on side of phone and there are separate settings, guess its a audio manager issue now, time to dump that app I guess.

Anyone running AOKP JB build 1 able to use Google play movies? This is the only thing I can't get to work.

I have noticed that at least once per day (even with full signal) my phone will NOT receive sms messages. Unfortunately I don't realize this until I try to SEND one and it wont. I get the "cannot send sms, would you like to retry?"

Love the ROM, but this part is painful.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Has Google changed their policy on this subject? Last I remember, you couldn't rent a movie if your phone was rooted. This may have been changed though.

I send one this morning that didn't work, wasn't anything important so didn't put much thought into it, don't think this has been a problem exclusive to aokp though, think it's happened on jellybro in the past also but can't remember which rom I was running last time it happened.

Anyone else finding this to be really not too fast? Any kernel recommendations?

Play Movies = GAPPs issue. Use a different package.

Re: kernel - franco. I've never liked faux and have absolutely no idea why it's included.

Anyone having any problems with wifi? My settings is just stuck at "turning wi-fi on" and all of te buttons are frozen. Other than a couple of signal drops (damn nexus) it has been good otherwise.

Any ideas?

Nope, not here.

My HP laptop recognizes my phone as Media device MTP and/or Camera PTP drivers installed and all that. It shows up under computer and tells me how much memory I have left but when I open it up it's blank. I've tried it with and without USB Debugging checked off. It worked on BB JB 080712. Any ideas? Am I overlooking something?
