Upgrade your kernel to r241 ;)

So far, a whole ton of features/settings were added--even stuff not in ICS. Their about AOKP thing is pretty sharp too.

You mean in this new AOKP build here were a ton of new things added?

I'm about | | this close to jumping from AOKP to something else until the official builds start releasing, bu if this build introduced a lot of new stuff I may dirty flash it to take a look first.

Yup. Bunch of little touches too, like different color settings (nav bar, toggles [!!]). It's certainly close, can't think of much more they can add to be honest.

Oh I dont know about that. Their ICS builds had so much more features than the build I'm running now. Maybe I'm running builds that were uploaded from someone different than the ones you flashed. Happen to have a link to the site you downloaded from?

If its really that feature rich I'm definitely interested in checking it out.

These are "official" nightlies ==>

And honestly, I don't really remember ICS (lol) but I don't think that toggle bar transparency/color settings was an option ;). Really neat to play around with!

No, that wasnt an option and I agree that sounds cool, but things like using the volume rocker to change music tracks, nav bar icon colors, showing the unsecure lockscreen before the secure one, and I'm sure theres a few more I'm forgetting, were all missing. Granted, they are rebuilding from scratch, I just remember there being a few more options.

nice to see some NEW new stuff tho! Gonna flash momentarily.

Nav bar icon colors are in there (as of the last build I believe); you can also use your own icons (like I do :)).

Unsure about the volume rocker/music toggle being in there, but they are getting there, that's for sure.

I still see the newest kernel as r240 which I flashed yesterday. Mind providing a link? Must be updated before the app and/or the xda site I check. Also, doesn't it take some time for a kernel to "bake' into your device? So wouldn't flashing a new kernel everyday as I've been doing for a week be detrimental to performance? Can't say I've noticed anything either way (other than interactive using more frequencies after 230). Thoughts?

Poseign let me know what you think. I'll be making the jump back to AOKP once it's close to how good it was on ICS.

been playing with it for about a half hour now, I dont remember which build I was on previously but this one does indeed have a number of features i didnt have before. The only thing I'm still really missing is the ability to change music tracks with the volume rocker while the screen is off, otherwise it feels very much like ICS AOKP now. Granted, its only been a half hour. After a few days on my previous build i started getting performance issues (things would be very laggy and slow) but for now I will chalk that up to running the supernova theme on top of it.

I really like being able to add a picture to the notification screen, that's pretty friggen slick.

I was looking at Codename Android right before I flashed, and was REALLY tempted to flash that ROM. I may Nandroid this and try out CNA before I make my final decision on which I want to be my daily driver. I'm a feature hog and to me it looks like CNA is much more feature rich at this point.

Seems my app is whack. I'll try to download it again.

What are your thoughts about the kernel needing time to bake..as in crackflashing is somewhat detrimental to performance? Obviously you crackflash so you don't seem to care, but is my logic correct?

I do care--I just don't make any judgments before a day or so. After a day, your usage is really tested and you can determine if the kernel is best for you/your device.

Ive noticed that after flashing a new rom it does indeed take time for the phone to return to a stable performance point. My battery will die quicker for a day or two after flashing a new ROM, and I want to say that yes, its because it takes time for the configurations to bake in.

are you running the latest version of the app? seems weird.
autoflashing r241 now
I'm running r240. I refreshed the app and now it shows r241. Downloaded 512mhz but it wouldn't install. Perhaps it's the 512mhz but I've been running that so I know my phone can handle it. That said, I don't really game on my phone so I don't have any good reason not to run 384mhz and save the battery. I've never tried the auto install. Guess I'll give that a shot.

DM, what file format do the nav bar icons have to be in? it doesnt seem to like .png files...

.png...make sure to select from gallery and crop it. Then make it the max possible size. That's how I got my letter icons there :). It is sorta tricky at first, but once I get it down it's easy peasy.
