I think it's just an accidental duplicate. This is what they said on twitter:

Flashed last night and running well so far. I think there is a new feature, adding a slide up action from the normal Google Now from the home button. I have kill app on and it doesn't seem to work.

Flashed it last night with the 7/26 GAPPs, then flashed Franco's kernel this morning. Everything seems fine here (minues the GAPPs-related gallery issue).

On a more fun note, my five year old daughter saw the boot animation this morning and said "Daddy, that unicorn is making an angry face at me!"

Downloaded but the MD5 isn't matching what they have on Androidtransfer. Anyone else seeing that? If so I will go ahead and flash.

Following up on what Jova33 said about the GAPPs not allowing Google pic sync I poked around on XDA and Rootz Wiki and found this set of GAPPs that does include pic sync (well, one of the two versions does). I reflashed AOKP Build 2 and flashed this set of GAPPs and all seems well, and my pic sync is finally working again!

Given the lack of others commenting on the problem it most likely isn't important to most of you, but if anyone else wants their pic sync up and running this did the trick and seems to be stable on my phone. Hopefully it can help someone, and a big thank you to all who lead me in the right direction

So are the devs only worried about there ROM and no one is working on the gapps to keep them up to date? from the above post with these gapps [GApps] 4.1.1-424425 JRO03O gapps Package 8/31 - [VZW] Galaxy Nexus Development - RootzWiki you have a choice either synced or not to sync the pic, I am not programmer by any means but isn't there a way to write the code to make it happen? all seems fine on ICS but with JB things seem to fall short. does the regular JB that is shipped have issues with syncing? IF not can the devs take that code in make a new gapps?

Is anyone still using Jakedays JB builds he seems to have a current gapps 9/14 or he recommends Formula84's gapps.

I tried build 2 and it worked for about 20 minutes although it was a little laggy. Then I started getting system errors and it wouldn't quit even after rebooting. This was from a totally clean install. I would maybe try build 22. I went back to my build 1 backup. Running great again.

Yes, that's exactly what happened to me. It was fine until I tried to do that. Rebooting didn't help.

Are the Picasa profile pictures not available on build 2? I can't seem to find them and they're not listed under Google Account sync settings.
