First time poster.... long time lurker.

Here's the deal. I was on AOKP build 1 for a while. Then flashed the August 31st nightly. Its been running well but I wanted to flash the September 2nd "build 1". I've downloaded it several times but the md5 doesn't match. Tried downloading it from goo.im and from androtransfer.com. Every time I d/l it, I get the same md5, but it doesn't match the md5 on androtransfer.

What's up with that? Is it the incorrect md5 on their site? Or am I getting borked downloads every single time?

The md5 is incorrect on Aokp's site. Because the naming was messed up, the original build 1 md5 was copied on the Sept 2 build. The md5 should start with d812477.

What kinds of changes are we looking at between build 1 and the "new" build 1? I'd just flash it but honestly my phone is running so well right now that I dont want to mess with it for something small.

I wouldn't worry with md5s one or two things will happen either the ROM will flash or it won't.

What gapps are you flashing, I see from an older post you said the latest but is is the 726 signed, xoom, jakedays, just curious I guess,

I did a clean original Build 1 awhile ago with 726 signed with no issues and want to flash the latest Build 1 ROM but if your having issues with the gapps I may hold off.

Yes they were the 726 gapps. filename was gapps-jb-20120726-signed

AOKP weather actually started working but still no camera. Any APK for that?

Not than I am aware of. Sorry for your troubles.

I guess you have tried to flash the ROM and the gapps again.
if so maybe get a fresh copy (latest nightly) of the files and try again, thats what I would try.

I run the original AOKP Build 1 and the same gapps with Franco. no issues here.

I just updated from AOKP ICS B36 to JB B1. I definitely need to study the TiBu usage post more closely next time. Flashing ROM was a breeze, manually setting up all the installed apps not so much. Glad it all worked out. I'm enjoying the butteriness of JB.

Lol yeah as with all instructions its good to read them twice before going through it... though that guide ought to work fine just going through the steps during the process. Let me know if anything wasn't clear of course and I'll try and help out

I was kind of hoping an update.zip of all non-gapps apps could be made and flashed after the ROM and gapps during install. But i did not see that anywhere, so i guess not?

Word.. It is easy, especially when you start using the labels tip in the second post. Cut a good 8-10 minutes off of my post-flash set up time

Does anyone know if there is a new release coming soon? Interested in switching from BB to AOKP, but can wait if a new build is on its way. I know they don't usually announce that stuff, but I didn't know if anyone follows the devs on twitter or something and caught wind of a new release soon.

I've not seen any grumblings, but with AOKP, they've amassed a following that is tethered to their every move, despite the lack of quick updates.

if there's any consolation from them, I guess it's that I don't have to DF so often that my phone hates me after a week of doing 7 DF's.

The JB radios...FF##/FG## I believe. Check our radios thread by zero neck .
